closing quotes in forum emails

Hi! I love that the forums email notifications out to users but it puts a closing quote on the end of the message. This closing quote often messes up URLs, causing many email programs to include the quote as part of the address. Is there any way to put a permanent space between the last character of a message and the closing quote?
