Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #20062 (Staged for Production Release): Quick Edit Feature Resets Pos...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/200622024-03-26T23:03:59ZZachary Muhlbauer

When I use the Quick Edit option to make changes to an existing post, the author of the post automatically resets to the first individual listed in the site's user list, regardless of who the original author was.

I replicated the issue in Firefox and Safari as well as across multiple themes. I also spoke with another instructor and confirmed that the Quick Edit option resets post authorship for them, too.

It's a nasty little bug if only because determining the original author of certain posts can be tricky and time-consuming when there isn't an available edit history for the post.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #19928 (New): Forum Topic by Email Statshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/199282024-03-08T17:41:09ZRaymond Hoh

Hi Ray --

I was just writing a message to my class using the Visual text composer, and I saw again some strangeness in the rendered HTML in the preview

I had entered a few blank lines using Control-Enter, which produced the
code in the preview

I then went to the text mode and switched back to the visual mode, which added tags to the links in the preview (which also showed up in the notification email)
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #18032 (Hold): 2FA required on every log in/log out sequencehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/180322023-04-13T18:51:04ZRaffi Khatchadourianraffi.khatchadourian@hunter.cuny.edu

I have to enter an OTP each time I log out and log back in, even on the same browser. Shouldn't I only be required to enter the OTP when the machine ID changes (using a different or upgraded browser). Shouldn't the second factor only be used when the device is unrecognized?
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #17739 (Testing Required): Embedding docs from Word in Microsoft ...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/177392023-02-28T17:06:40ZLaurie Hurson

Hi All,

As you may or may not know, CUNY has been transitioning all faculty, staff, and students to Microsoft Office 365 cloud. So instead of having Microsoft Office software, everyone now gets these tools and saves docs etc in the 365 cloud.

Someone in a training asked about embedding the Live cloud-hosted word docs into a commons site, similar to how Google docs works, so that when they update their Word doc the commons embed is also updated. This is different from how Word and the Commons works now, where faculty have to upload the static document.

Some examples of sharing links from a test cloud-hosted word doc:

Over the years, we've added a lot of code to our BuddyPress custom code file -
bp-custom.php
.

User Ralitsa Todorova writes:
"I am using the commons for the courses I am teaching and have a discussion board component where students needs to submit posts. Each week now, there are a handful of students whose responses get flagged as spam, even though they’ve created accounts (and I’ve made the page visible only to those with accounts) and have had posts approved that have gone through before. Is there any way to fix this so that it stops spamming their messages? I get flooded with panicked emails each weekend and it would really help if the site would stop blocking their posts."

Hi,

I am writing on behalf of the Center for Place Culture and Politics. We are having an issue with the Newsletter plugin. Every time we send out a newsletter using this plugin there is a broken image with the letters Hr at the bottom. I do not see anything in the html code of the newsletters to indicate why this appears. I have attached what it looks like here. Any ideas what is going on? Thanks!
NYCDH Community Site - Bug #8992 (Assigned): Multiple RBE error reportshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/89922017-12-11T22:20:23ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Ray --

Twice today, I've had a single RBE email rejected, saying it can't be posted. In each case, I've received 2-3 error messages, as if the message had been sent multiple times to the CAC. I'm not sure whether my gmail is trying to send multiple times (which seems unlikely, as I think it reached the system, even if only to result in an error message) or whether RBE is the issue.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #6644 (Reporter Feedback): White Screen at Login Pgehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/66442016-11-08T17:07:40ZLuke Waltzerlwaltzer@gc.cuny.edu

Hi Boone,

I'm trying to produce a grant report and get a sense of some CAC numbers. When I click on "Sites" in the nav bar, I see two different numbers 1575 in the "All Sites" tab and 2263 in the Viewing x of x info line.

Which is correct, and is this evidence of a bug of some kind? Or does it just reflect something like private/hidden sites that I can see as a super-admin?

Marking this as high priority only because I'm trying to get the report in and would appreciate a quick answer if at all possible.
NYCDH Community Site - Feature #2574 (Assigned): Add Way to Upload Files to Groupshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/25742013-05-16T21:12:06ZMark Newtonmnewton@columbia.eduNYCDH Community Site - Feature #2571 (Assigned): Add Google custom search box to homepagehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/25712013-05-16T21:10:13ZMark Newtonmnewton@columbia.edu
