Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Support #18432 (Resolved): My Sites showing an old group for the userhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/184322023-07-07T15:48:07ZMarilyn WeberMweber@gc.cuny.edu

A History PhD student, Yisroel Ben-Porat, reports: Under my sites it lists a second site "Foundations of American Literature" that I'd like to leave ( https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/foundations-of-american-literature-english-75000/members), but I don't see any way of doing that. Please advise. Thanks!

I replied: "I cannot see why that is happening - you aren't in the group, nor are you following it. Were you ever in that class? Even if you were, that link you sent doesn't show you.

I will consult with the dev team and will let you know."

I turns out he was in this class in Fall 2018. I think Professor Reynolds just uses the same group each semester but invites current students or he clones the group semester by semester. Either way, it seems membership in the group remains visible to the students but not the prof as group admin. He is not anxious for it to be corrected ASAP.

He writes "NI just noticed it recently when I experimented developing my own website, and I saw it under "My Sites." I tried leaving and unfollowing the group, but it's still showing up under my sites."
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #16990 (Resolved): all blog posts are appearing as comments on a sitehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/169902022-10-08T14:44:50ZMarilyn WeberMweber@gc.cuny.edu

Pamela Jean Stemberg reports

"My page https://v1innycchildren.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
suddenly has blog posts at the end of it that has nothing to do with it. I can't find them on the page, but they shouldn't be there. I turned off the ping backs, but I can't get rid of the blog posts."

I see exactly what she means - her site is pulling in other blogs that have public posts as comments. Nothing in the Discussion settings looks unusual to me (see attached.)

I'm looking now to see if other sites are having this problem.
CUNY Academic Commons - Support #15686 (Resolved): ZenDesk introducing "triggers"https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/156862022-03-21T17:04:43ZMarilyn WeberMweber@gc.cuny.edu

Ray, Matt wanted you to have a look at this:

"HI MARILYN,

Zendesk has introduced a new feature called trigger categories to help customers organize triggers and make them easier to manage. Beginning March 31, 2022, we will be automatically adding a default category to your triggers. Our records indicate you have not yet enabled triggers in your account and will be affected by this change, so we’re reaching out with a friendly reminder in case you missed our in-product notification.

What does this mean?
In January 2021, Zendesk rolled out trigger categories as an opt-in feature and since then, many of our customers have taken advantage of this functionality with great results. We are now moving to the next phase of this rollout and will automatically add categories for customers who have not enabled them by March 31.

Please note that this change will not impact the order or the behavior of your triggers. Triggers will continue to execute in the sequence in which they’re ordered, as they always have.

What do I need to do?
We encourage you to get ahead of this change by enabling this functionality on your trigger edit page. Once you are using trigger categories, you’ll be able to designate a category when creating a new trigger via the Zendesk API or the Zendesk user interface. If you don’t specify a category when creating a new trigger, we will select a category for you.

If you don’t take action, after March 31, 2022 you’ll see a default category appear in your list of triggers. This will not impact the way your triggers execute and you shouldn’t notice any other change.

Please refer to this article for details, and partner with your developer resources as appropriate. And as always, you can contact us if you have questions or need additional support.

I'm having an issue with the Add Users sidebar widget. I'm (meaning, my students) not seeing the Add Me! button. I didn't listen to a conflict message earlier and now have removed some useful plugins in an effort to fix it. Is it the theme or a plugin conflict?

My site is https://wgs1001sp21.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ and I'm the admin/instructor. Thanks in advance for the help.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #13912 (Abandoned): posting "missed schedule"https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/139122021-01-28T23:08:52ZMarilyn WeberMweber@gc.cuny.edu

Sorry to make trouble. I use the schedule feature quite a lot for my site. A few months ago, I had a problem with "missed schedule" posts. It resolved, but is now happening again. Marking as Low Priority - no problem if you're too swamped to get to it now. Thanks!
CUNY Academic Commons - Support #13201 (Rejected): PDF embedderhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/132012020-08-15T15:23:14ZMarilyn WeberMweber@gc.cuny.edu

Apologies if we discussed this before. Is it impossible to use the PDF embedder plugin in the block editor? Someone on Zendesk couldn't find it there but sees it easily in classic. That person't problem is solved, so there's no rush on this "problem" (which may be a Marilyn error and not a problem at all).
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #11971 (Abandoned): Pictures obscured in emailed post notificationshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/119712019-10-10T20:58:56ZMarilyn WeberMweber@gc.cuny.edu

Attached screenshot shows only the bottom sliver of a JPEG which appears fully in the post. This isn't a one time problem, but I can't pinpoint when it started.

Thanks to Steve and the Help upgrade, I've been delving into the plugins. Some of them - such as Code Markup, last updated in 2008! - seem like they could perhaps be deleted. Do we have a system for identifying and removing old plugins? And/or telling which plugins are in use?
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #5058 (New): Can there be a clearer signal that even when comment...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/50582015-12-22T20:54:47ZMarilyn WeberMweber@gc.cuny.edu

In Cdev, when I'm logged in as teststudent, I can send an invite (to my real self) from the "Test Hidden Group" using the "send invite" button as per usual. But when I create a new group, the send invite button is not there on Chrome and IE. (See first two attached screenshots.) I have to first create the group ("Marilyn Hidden", "Marilyn 2" ) (See last attached screenshot.)
