Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #18846 (Resolved): Events page filterhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/188462023-09-15T16:37:23ZColin McDonald

I'm having trouble getting the campus filter here to do anything:

https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/events/

The results don't seem to change no matter what box(es) are selected, and the total number of events at the bottom don't either. Or is this because these events aren't associated with a campus at all?

It's good to see 125 events popping up here, at least when I'm logged in -- there are only 4 when I use an incognito window -- though a lot of the 125 events are tied to individual classes and don't have a very broad appeal.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #17478 (Resolved): Commons downhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/174782023-01-12T04:53:15ZColin McDonald

Just noticing this and wanted to report.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #17459 (Resolved): Dev site sluggish and not accepting my loginhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/174592023-01-10T16:22:41ZColin McDonald

Is anyone else able to log into the dev site? I'm having trouble logging in with my dev username 'colinmcd' and usual password. It kind of takes the info and then reverts back to the non-logged-in view.

In general, it seems to be loading slowly as well. Tried in a regular and then incognito Chrome and then Safari window.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #16549 (Resolved): Strange updates with file attachmentshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/165492022-08-01T02:21:10ZColin McDonald

Maybe this is nothing, but better safe than sorry - did anyone else (maybe if you're subscribed to all Redmine updates like me) see a bunch of strange old ticket updates from Matt come through on Saturday afternoon? At a glance it seems to be something about old tickets with attachments, I think?

Related to #16352 maybe? It looks like the updates to #101 #26 #114 #41 #162 #128 are still there, but updates to #52 (a bunch) are not, and weirdly I can't find that ticket at all now. Then there was activity on new tickets #16458 #16546 #16547 but all those seem to have disappeared now too.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #16499 (Resolved): Registration page 403 errorhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/164992022-07-21T14:02:01ZColin McDonald

A professor's reported hitting somewhat regular 403 errors on the /register page, and her students have as well. See attached. Any idea what could be causing this?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #16495 (Rejected): Privacy/visibility restricts Hypothes.is linkshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/164952022-07-20T13:50:20ZColin McDonald

It seems that when a site is changed from public to only registered Commons users, links like this no longer work:

https://via.hypothes.is/https://wgs1001su22shaw.commons.gc.cuny.edu/wp-content/blogs.dir/22484/files/2022/07/BornsteinMyNewGenderWorkbook.pdf

A professor is using the "https://via.hypothes.is/" URL prefix to open links to her PDF readings (uploaded to her wgs1001su22shaw.commons.gc.cuny.edu Commons site) in the Hypothesis annotation interface. I see the point that if I'm a Commons user clicking that link for a site that allows me to access it, I shouldn't be blocked.

But is there something about the link structure/routing here that limits being able to track my Commons status? If so, is this something on the Hypothesis side, or can we do something about it? Hypothesis has a Chrome extension and bookmarklet that also call up the annotation interface, and those seem to work fine with the higher privacy level.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #16149 (Resolved): 2FA emails being sent?https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/161492022-05-23T20:16:23ZColin McDonald

Can someone confirm that two-factor authentication codes are being sent to registered verification email addresses? I've been trying to use that method to log in and don't seem to be receiving any emails with codes. Thanks!
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #15209 (Resolved): Commons admin account downgradedhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/152092022-01-21T22:44:56ZColin McDonald

I noticed that I can't access any of the admin tools/features in the Wordpress dashboard that I used to, and Boone mentioned on the dev call that this is likely due to a known Buddypress bug Scott used to experience (I can't find the ticket so starting this one) with his account level getting periodically downgraded. Just asking for mine to be bumped back up for now.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #15153 (Resolved): Main nav Courses link brokenhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/151532022-01-05T22:02:42ZColin McDonald

Clicking the Courses top nav item on public or logged-in, it goes to a redirect and broken page:

https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/courses/

Starting a new ticket for this one since it's so prominent, though I know we've had other nav item issues.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #15134 (Resolved): Broken site image/iconhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/151342022-01-04T18:50:01ZColin McDonald

See attached screenshot. I don't have access to this site, but maybe there's an upload or file format issue keeping the icon from displaying? And maybe there's a way to recognize this and show one of Sara's placeholder icons instead? Here's the site:

https://ccnyparasites.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #15133 (Resolved): No title and can't edit a curated sitehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/151332022-01-04T18:43:59ZColin McDonald

This is a minor issue related to the site curation ticket #14179 we just closed out for the release (the other issues I mentioned there with descriptions/editing seem to be resolved) At the curation link:

https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=cac-home-curation

I've added this featured Site:

https://freedomdreaming.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

But it's coming through without a title or description, and I can't seem to click on the Edit button/link. See attached screenshot.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #14735 (Resolved): Change "clean up" button link for cloned groupshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/147352021-08-30T15:05:45ZColin McDonald

I think that the button one sees after cloning a group (see "Clean up your cloned Group" attached) should be pointing to this documentation:

https://help.commons.gc.cuny.edu/clean-up-after-group-cloning/

But for the example in my screenshot, it points here right now, or the same as the general confirmation page:

https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/ccctest/?created=1
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #14716 (Resolved): My Commons activity blankhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/147162021-08-17T22:45:49ZColin McDonald

Hello, it seems that the My Commons streams may be acting up. When I first go there I can see All Activity, but toggling back and forth to Groups / Sites / etc I don't see anything (see attached), and I can't get back to All Activity being populated either. I just see the yellow error message. Sonja first noticed this, so it seems at to be at least somewhat widespread.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #13983 (Resolved): Site admin invites coming in as authorhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/139832021-02-11T19:49:51ZColin McDonald

Another little bug, the invite users popup (the green modal) may be registering invites for an admin role as author instead. I noticed this on one site and thought I messed it up, then it happened again on another site where I was very careful.

Both of these happened when choosing the "invite others" button to pop up the modal at the end of a new site creation. I'm not sure if it's happening across the board with the modal or perhaps just when it's called up that way in the creation flow.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #13982 (Resolved): Clone warning box on new Group + Site Creationhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/139822021-02-11T16:04:04ZColin McDonald

See attached screencast, going through the new Group + Site workflow today I noticed that at the end of the Site creation screen was the yellow warning box about cloned content, even though I wasn't cloning anything (indeed, I was helping a brand-new user, who had never been an admin or creator of a group or site previously).

Also, why on the Site step didn't I have the Site Layout section to apply a Teaching or other template?
