Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #11444 (Resolved): New site settings not savedhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/114442019-05-10T18:11:34ZGina Cherry

I entered my site settings (campus and purpose of site), hit "save," and got a message that the settings were saved, but they were not. I tried this a second time a day later with the same result.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #11398 (Resolved): Blog post notification emails are not formattedhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/113982019-04-24T18:22:26ZGina Cherry

A few months back, I reported that the emails sent to the CETLS group when I publish a new post in the attached blog were being stripped of images and formatting such as links and bold text. This issue was fixed and for a few months, the email notifications were formatted. When I published a new post today, I discovered that this issue has returned: https://screencast.com/t/DONyrrrqhWrt. I no longer have the most recent emails that were formatted correctly, but here is one from March 13: https://screencast.com/t/DE3LnUewoxo3 (this one did not have an image or section headers, but did have links).
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #11311 (Resolved): Request for post expiration plug-inhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/113112019-04-10T17:39:25ZGina Cherry

We use our blog for a number of purposes, including populating the "News and Announcements" section of our web site. Currently, I manually remove time-sensitive posts when they are no longer relevant. It would be helpful to have a plug-in like this one, which allows you to assign posts an expiration date: https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-expiration-date/.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #11160 (Resolved): Return of duplicate email notifactions for blog co...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/111602019-02-25T22:14:04ZGina Cherry

Please refer to Bug #10800
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #10847 (Resolved): Select which blog posts are sent to grouphttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/108472018-12-19T22:33:14ZGina Cherry

I have a web site connected to a group and would like to be able to use the blog for multiple purposes. Right now, it's being used as a traditional blog and group members receive email notifications for new blog posts. I would also like to be able to use the blog for other purposes (e.g., as an archive of faculty projects related to various initiatives). I do not want to email group members every time content of this nature is added. I'd like the option to mute these group email notifications by category. For example, if I had a blog category called "faculty projects," I'd like to be able to specify that posts in this category do not trigger group emails.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #10800 (Resolved): Duplicate email notifications on blog commentshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/108002018-12-07T18:11:05ZGina Cherry

I have a blog (bmcccetls.commons.gc.cuny.edu) connected to a group (BMCC CETLS). When I approve a comment on the blog, I get two identical notifications via email. It's possible that this only happens for comments that mistakenly went to spam and were released and then approved, but I'm not sure.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #10645 (Resolved): Facebook link in groupshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/106452018-10-31T15:32:28ZGina Cherry

I just attempted to add the CETLS Facebook page to the BMCC CETLS group. I added our Facebook id and the Commons generated this link for the Facebook icon: https://www.facebook/bmcc.cetls. As you can see, it's missing the ".com"
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #9570 (Resolved): Guest authors in Co-Authors Plus plug-in not workinghttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/95702018-04-10T18:09:52ZGina Cherry

The Co-Authors Plus plug-in allows you to create profiles for guest authors who do not necessarily have accounts on WordPress. I have used it successfully in the past on a site I created at Hunter, but found that it no longer works when I tried to incorporate in my BMCC site (http://bmcccetls.commons.gc.cuny.edu/). It allows me to create a guest author and to assign the guest as an author on a blog post, but does not display the guest author on the blog post page. We are about to launch a new blog with many guest authors, and this feature was critical to our design. Any insight or ideas for workarounds would be most appreciated.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #8389 (Resolved): Gravity Forms +Custom Post Types plug-inhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/83892017-07-03T21:21:24ZGina Cherry

I would like to request this plug-in, which would extend the functionality of Gravity Forms so that forms could generate custom post types, not just blog posts, as they do now.

I would like to request a MailChimp WordPress plug-in: https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #4850 (Resolved): ACERT site is downhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/48502015-11-03T12:05:35ZGina Cherry

The ACERT site has been down since 11 pm yesterday. We have noticed, thanks to Jetpack Monitor, that the site goes down relatively frequently, but usually for short periods of time. This is the first time it has been down for such an extended period.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #4751 (Resolved): Request for two plug-inshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/47512015-10-07T15:28:53ZGina Cherry

We would like to request two plug-ins that will allow us to develop a child theme for our site without directly editing the functions.php file:

Code Snippets: https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/
Code Snippets Extended: https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets-extended/

We have tested these on our development server and have found that they have the functionality that we need.

Thanks!
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #3998 (Resolved): Voicethread pluginhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/39982015-04-15T18:53:36ZGina Cherry

We would like to be able to embed Voicethreads into Wordpress. I only see one plugin that does this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/voicethread-auto-embed/. Would it be possible to get this installed?
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #3976 (Resolved): Emails to blog subscribers should be sent in HTMLhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/39762015-04-08T14:07:34ZGina Cherry

We have created an ACERT group on the Commons and associated our blog with the group so that members get email notifications when we create new posts. The email notification is sent in plain text, so is difficult to read and does not include any of the links from the body of the post. Since the link to the full post is at the bottom, I'm guessing that most readers do not see it. Could we think about more effective ways to send these notifications? One idea that comes to mind is having the option to send an excerpt rather than the full post. Moving the link to the post to the top and sending the email in html format would also be useful.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #3669 (Resolved): Plug-in request: Collapse-o-matichttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/36692014-11-19T05:12:10ZGina Cherry

https://wordpress.org/plugins/jquery-collapse-o-matic/. There is something similar (Text Expander) installed on the Commons, but the installed plug-in does not have any customization features and does not appear to have been updated anytime in the last few years. Collapse-o-matic has many features, and was last updated in October 2014.
