Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #15203 (Resolved): Comments no longer workinghttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/152032022-01-19T19:11:40ZGina Cherry

We are in the midst of a month-long faculty seminar and have been using our Commons site as a space for discussion. Sometime in the last week, we stopped being able to comment on blog posts. The comment box appears and there is a clickable button to submit, but the comment does not appear on the site or under Comments in the Dashboard. I tried this with our most recent blog post (https://abiseminarwinter2022.commons.gc.cuny.edu/2022/01/14/wellness-in-the-classroom/), as well as with last week's post (https://abiseminarwinter2022.commons.gc.cuny.edu/2022/01/07/1227/), which does have comments that were submitted before last Wednesday. I was unable to leave a comment on either post. It would be great if this could be fixed quickly since we had planned to have weekly conversations on the site.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #14848 (Resolved): Bug with Gravity Forms/Commons interactionhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/148482021-10-07T21:24:16ZGina Cherry

I just attempted to use Gravity Forms for the first time since it updated to the block editor and discovered an issue. When I'm editing forms, my Commons profile picture is displayed on top of the Preview and Save buttons and I am unable to do either (see attached screen shot). This initially occurred when I was using Firefox on a Mac laptop and I was able to replicate the issue on Safari.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #12036 (Resolved): Blog post notification not sent to grouphttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/120362019-10-31T19:52:00ZGina Cherry

I published a blog post today and no email notification was sent to members of the group to which the blog is connected. I even tried reverting to draft and re-publishing - no email notification. "Send to group" was definitely checked and the notification did not go to spam. The post appears in recent group activity. My subscription options are set to All Email. Any ideas?

I use the Events Manager plugin to manage the CETLS calendar. As of today, I am not longer able to edit events. When I create a new event or attempt to edit an existing event this is what I see: https://screencast.com/t/rD7tRSMtQNg. I have tried this using Firefox and Chrome on a Mac and with both the classic editor and the block editor, all with the same result.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #11649 (In Progress): CC license displayed on every pagehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/116492019-07-18T16:03:33ZGina Cherry

The CC license is unintentionally displayed at the bottom of every page and post on the CETLS web site (in addition to being intentionally displayed in a widget in the footer): https://cetls.bmcc.cuny.edu/. I recently realized that this behavior may be specific to the theme I am using for the site (Canvas). How can I remove the CC license information from the pages and posts?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #11508 (Resolved): Bug with "Send to Group"https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/115082019-05-31T15:57:49ZGina Cherry

Unchecking "send to group" does not work on my new site, https://bmccopenpedagogy.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

I unchecked "Send to Group" and immediately clicked the publish button. I tried this 3 times. All 3 posts were sent to the group.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #11507 (Rejected): Apply layout to existing site?https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/115072019-05-31T15:12:49ZGina Cherry

I added this request to ticket #11501, but wasn't sure if you would be notified since that ticket is already closed.

Would it be possible to apply the Teaching layout to the site that I already created? The url is https://bmccopenpedagogy.commons.gc.cuny.edu
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #11488 (Resolved): Co-authors plus plug-inhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/114882019-05-23T16:02:08ZGina Cherry

I currently use the co-authors plus plug-in on the CETLS web site. This plug-in does two things that out-of-the-box WordPress does not: 1) it allows you to create guest author profiles and assign guest authors to blog posts; and 2) it allows you to assign multiple authors to a blog post. As you may recall, the plug-in did not work correctly with the CETLS site - I was able to create guest authors and assign them to blog posts, but the guest authors were not displayed on the published posts. You developed a child theme for us with custom code to address this issue.

We're now interested in using this plug-in on OER course hubs that many of our faculty are developing. I am seeing the same issue with all the themes that I have tested (including Customizr and several of the WordPress themes like 2017). Would it be possible to apply the fix you created for Canvas to other themes, or better yet, apply a fix to the plug-in itself so that it works across themes?

Thank you.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #11451 (Resolved): 'Send to group' checkbox should remain uncheck...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/114512019-05-13T15:53:17ZGina Cherry

1. If I uncheck the "Send to group" box and then save the blog post, my selection is not saved - the box gets checked again.

2. I unchecked the box and published the post, but it was sent to the group anyway.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #11441 (Resolved): Blog/group commentshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/114412019-05-09T16:51:51ZGina Cherry

I'm not sure I'd call this a bug, exactly, but it's behavior that is unexpected. The CETLS blog is set up with moderated comments and is connected to a group on the Academic Commons. Group members receive an email notification through the Commons when a new post is published. If a group member comments on a blog post by responding to the notification email, the comment is not placed in the moderation queue, but is published immediately. While this is generally not problematic in the context of the CETLS blog, it was confusing and it could be problematic in other contexts.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #11398 (Resolved): Blog post notification emails are not formattedhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/113982019-04-24T18:22:26ZGina Cherry

A few months back, I reported that the emails sent to the CETLS group when I publish a new post in the attached blog were being stripped of images and formatting such as links and bold text. This issue was fixed and for a few months, the email notifications were formatted. When I published a new post today, I discovered that this issue has returned: https://screencast.com/t/DONyrrrqhWrt. I no longer have the most recent emails that were formatted correctly, but here is one from March 13: https://screencast.com/t/DE3LnUewoxo3 (this one did not have an image or section headers, but did have links).
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #11312 (Resolved): Cannot add guest author to posthttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/113122019-04-11T15:43:08ZGina Cherry

I have been using the Guest Authors Plus plug-in to assign guest authors to posts on the CETLS blog (https://bmcccetls.commons.gc.cuny.edu/blog/). I am no longer able to select guest authors. When I search for guest authors, they appear as usual, but when I click on an author, nothing is selected. I have tried this in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome on my Mac. I successfully used this plug-in as recently as last week and am not sure what has changed since then.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #10800 (Resolved): Duplicate email notifications on blog commentshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/108002018-12-07T18:11:05ZGina Cherry

I have a blog (bmcccetls.commons.gc.cuny.edu) connected to a group (BMCC CETLS). When I approve a comment on the blog, I get two identical notifications via email. It's possible that this only happens for comments that mistakenly went to spam and were released and then approved, but I'm not sure.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #10363 (Resolved): Domain mapping for CETLS sitehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/103632018-09-20T20:50:53ZGina Cherry

Domain mapping is no longer working as it was for the CETLS site (https://bmcccetls.commons.gc.cuny.edu). While it's still possible to access the site home page through the BMCC domain (http://cetls.bmcc.cuny.edu/), when you navigate through the site, the url in the address bar reverts to https://bmcccetls.commons.gc.cuny.edu/*. I'm not sure when this change, but in the past, the BMCC domain was maintained in the address bar throughout the site.
CUNY Academic Commons - Support #3983 (Resolved): Bug in list category posts pluginhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/39832015-04-09T17:00:14ZGina Cherry

The list category posts plugin should (or once did) support custom taxonomies: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/syntax-for-custom-taxonomies. Unfortunately, I cannot get this to work and I saw several more recent posts indicating that others have had the same experience. Could we get this functionality working again on our end?
