Please see this help group post for details: http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/wordpress-help/forum/topic/customize-theme-installation/#post-3344
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #360 (Resolved): Activity Feed Problemshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3602010-09-28T00:44:32ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

I'm seeing only two blog posts in the "Recent Blog Posts" list. In the past, I've seen errors in that column because of erroneous formatting in the post excerpts, but looking at the source of the page, I see empty activity feed items.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #346 (Resolved): News Nav Bar Link on Wiki Pages Points to Wrong Pagehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3462010-09-20T12:16:22ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Boone,

I just got off the phone with the leader of one of the groups that we're bringing onto the Commons. He wants to use the invite by email feature, but his group has about forty people. Brian told me that in his experience, there is a limit of 20 people that can be invited at a time, and that, say, when 10 people accept the invitation, another 10 slots open up.

How hard would it be to open that up just a bit -- to, say, an upward limit of 50 people -- even if only for a limited time so that we could get this group onto the site? And if it's possible, how soon could you get that set up? If it's going to work, we'll need it by tomorrow.

If this sounds like an unreasonable timeline or request, please let me know and we'll figure something else out. If you could let me know what you think asap so that we can make other arrangements if need be, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #318 (Resolved): Blog post on 1.01?https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3182010-08-31T01:38:17ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

As long as we're doing releases, I think that we should be using the Development blog to document each release. What do you think? Can you write it up? I don't think we need too much info -- just a thumbnail sketch . . . perhaps even linked to redmine.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #314 (Resolved): Changing Blog Title in BuddyPress Menushttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3142010-08-28T19:00:16ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

A member changed the name of her blog soon after creating it. The name shows up on the blog itself, but not in the drop down menu on the top right (under "my blogs") or in the directory of CUNY AC blogs. The member is interested in having it show up everywhere uniformly with the revised title.

Thoughts? Is there a place where the member can do this herself?

Assigned the CFs to watch this ticket so that they can answer future questions related to this issue.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #306 (Rejected): Text on Group Page should be darkerhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3062010-08-26T18:03:23ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

It looks to me like the default text on group pages is a light gray that is hard to read against the white background. Do you find this hard to read, too? If so, can you update the stylesheet to a darker shade of gray, maybe #999999
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #303 (Resolved): Special Request: Change links on Maintenance slidehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3032010-08-25T21:28:05ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Boone,

I've been busy with course prep and haven't had a chance to take care of the hero slides (will try to get them done tomorrow).

Is there any possibility you can replace the links on the current "under maintenance" hero slides?

The "overview of the update" link should go here:
http://news.commons.gc.cuny.edu/2010/08/24/cuny-academic-commons-version-1-0/

and the "what it means for groups" link should go here:
http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/members/brianfoote/activity/32959/

Feel free to add a link to your post, as well - http://dev.commons.gc.cuny.edu/2010/08/24/the-technical-side-of-commons-v1-0/

I know I should be doing this myself . . . and I know I need to get going with Git. Sorry to ask this of you, but we should really do it ASAP.

Thanks,

Not sure what is going on, but I seem to be unable to make a desired change on the Featured widget for the homepage.

What I'm trying to do: change from http://groundcontrol.commons.gc.cuny.edu/2010/08/12/hello-world/ to http://groundcontrol.commons.gc.cuny.edu/2010/08/17/letters-from-the-concourse-level/

What happens: when I replace the post-slug in the widget, it continues to display the older post.

What else I did: tried switching around a bit, first to featured resource and then back to featured post. That didn't help. Then I tried changing the blog (went to news.commons.gc.cuny.edu ) and saved and saw a change on the homepage (oddly, it displayed a different post), and then went back to the ground control blog. Still displayed the older post on that blog.

Assigning this to Boone but we may want to bring in Michael to troubleshoot.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #278 (Resolved): Group Blog plugin creates subdirectory, not subdomai...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/2782010-07-22T02:55:55ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

I jnoticed something weird while looking at the group blog interface for a new group that I'm a part of: when I enabled a group blog and selected the option to create a new one, it said that the blog created would have a URL with a subdirectory instead of a subdomain. screenshot attached.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #266 (Resolved): Account Deletion Processhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/2662010-07-02T00:31:43ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

A user reports that he tried to delete his account but that the deletion didn't occur. I don't know exactly what process he followed, but I do note two things:

1. All of his blogs are gone, which says to me that he deleted his WP account but not his BP profile, which is still there.

2. The directions here -- http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/wiki/index.php/FAQ#How_Do_I_Delete_My_Account.3F -- are no longer valid, as there is no longer a "Delete Account" option under "My Settings" in the newer version of BP. I can't find a "Delete Account" option anywhere else.

I can delete his account for him, but there should be a clear way for users to delete their accounts.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #258 (Resolved): Remove posting text box on group homepageshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/2582010-06-10T02:30:15ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com
