Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #2423 (Resolved): Incorporate posts from Brian's Footnotes blog i...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/24232013-02-09T18:10:01ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi All

Please see http://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/2422 for starters. The way we had set up posts to be republished on the news blog (by working through the global tags blog) was creating duplicate posts on the news blog.

The work I did on the above ticket removed Brian's footenotes blog posts from the news blog.

So, first a question: do we want all of Brian's footenote blog posts republished/crossposted on the News blog?

If we do, we can set up feedburner to repost posts from just that blog. But first, let's decide whether we want that.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #2268 (Rejected): Add CBOX icon to dashboard menu?https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/22682012-11-19T03:55:39ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Is it possible to add our CBOX icon to the dashboard menu in place of the box icon we're currently using? Are there rules about b/w vs. color?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #2267 (Resolved): Change "Cbox" to "CBOX" in Dashboard Menuhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/22672012-11-19T03:53:51ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

We should change "Cbox" to "CBOX" on the left-hand dashboard menu. I'm a bit worried that users will have a hard time finding it; all-caps might help and it's also our regularized spelling.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #2265 (Rejected): "Need Support" widget in cbox documentationhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/22652012-11-19T03:41:29ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Very cool that the "Need support?" widget on the dashboard tells people what info to submit with support requests, but it doesn't tell them where to submit such requests (the main section under "Getting started," but it should be repeated below.

"Need Support?

If you are having issues with the theme and need support, below is some useful info about your installation.

In the attached screenshot, the quotation marks around the text of the notification message seem superfluous and possibly confusing, as they suggest that the person who uploaded the file added the message "Note that you may have to log into the CUNY Academic Commons in order to gain access to the group and its documents."

It seems to me that we can do away with those quotation marks unless there is a technical reason for keeping them. A very minor issue, obviously.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #304 (Rejected): Feature Roadmaphttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3042010-08-25T23:43:54ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Do you think you might be able to put together a short outline of a feature/version roadmap for the Commons in advance of Friday's meeting? I know it's late notice, so if you can't do it, no problem.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #213 (Rejected): Wiki Stylehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/2132010-05-06T14:55:59ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Ever since the BP upgrade, I've noticed that there is a moment or two, when the homepage first loads, when it looks like all of text on the "hero" slides is layered on top of one another, creating a jumbled look that resolves itself once the page loads. But I'm curious about why this is happening and whether there is anything we can do to change it. Anyone have ideas?
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #133 (Resolved): Add TinyMCE to BP Profiles?https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/1332009-12-09T18:15:56ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Members have requested more control over the appearance of their profile pages. I know that widgetized profiles are coming in later versions of BP, but would it be possible to give them WYSIWYG controls on their profiles now?
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #68 (Resolved): Email Addresses for the Commonshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/682009-11-20T17:08:24ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Andre,

I was wondering whether you could create two GC email addresses for the Commons:

The first is a general address for the site:

commons@gc.cuny.edu

The second is a little more complicated. I'd like to create a help/support address, but I'm sure that help@gc.cuny.edu is taken. We could go with commonshelp@gc.cuny.edu, but I wanted to check in first to see whether there was any possibility of creating an email address on a subdomain (something like help@commons.gc.cuny.edu).

Thanks in advance for your help. If you have other ideas, please let me know!

Best,
