Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #18650 (Resolved): issue with footer on the ACERT sitehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/186502023-08-22T21:20:08ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Ray -- when browsing around the CAC to check out possible site lag, I visited the Hunter Acert site. I noticed that the main body of the them overlaps the footer (see screenshot attached).

I don't run this site and so don't necessarily need it to be fixed, but I wondered whether hte problem could indicate some larger issue with the layout of the footer.

Hi Boone -- I'm moving this over from our email conversation. Thank you for putting up a site notification regarding server issues. I wanted to note that I saw it only after I logged in. I was thinking we should probably show it to non-logged-in users, as well. Is that possible? and if so, what do you think about showing it to such users?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #17693 (Resolved): Jetpack notification issuehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/176932023-02-21T13:37:14ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

I mentioned this issue during our last monthly meeting, but I'm not sure whether it has been addressed and/or whether there has been a ticket about it.

I've been getting the attached error messages from the Commons; they appear to be coming from Jetpack. Is there a way to disable them?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #17425 (Abandoned): Invite by email not accepting non-CUNY email addr...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/174252022-12-21T20:42:19ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

We're tryign to get some students onboarded for a project but don't have CUNY email addresses for all of them. I told our project team that they could invite non-CUNY email addresses, and that people would have to sign up for a CAC account with a CUNY email address if they didn't have one, but apparently the system isn't allowing invites to go to non-CUNY users. (please see screenshot)

This is not how I thought the system was supposed to work or how it worked in the past. Can you please remind me whether we changed the way it is supposed to work? thank you!
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #16671 (Resolved): Group member count offhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/166712022-08-29T03:12:21ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

I'm not sure why, but the group side menu for this group shows that it has 75 members, when it really has 29

I've noticed an issue with a few spaces where My Groups are listed. Two of my groups that were recently active ( https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/ms-program-in-data-analysis-and-visualization/ ) and ( https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/ma-in-digital-humanities-cuny-graduate-center/ ) -- each updated three hours ago -- are not showing up as recently active groups.

Here are places where they don't show up:

https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/ -- logged in, looking at My Groups list
https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/?scope=my-groups

Looking at the groups, I see something happening where the yellow label showing recency says "Active a month ago" even though, as you can see in the screenshots, the group was active 3 hours ago
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #15675 (Resolved): Group Email Subject line edithttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/156752022-03-18T20:40:33ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Based on my experiences running several high-traffic groups, I want to suggest that we remove [CUNY Academic Commons] from the subject line of group forum email notifications. when messages enter inboxes, these words just clutter and occlude the subject and make it hard for people to keep up. I know we've discuss this before ( https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/12505 ), and that this was our previous solution, but in the end, I think we'd be much better served by removing this from the email subject line and just going with the subject as created/forwarded. Happy to discuss with the team.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #15137 (Resolved): Google search not working?https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/151372022-01-04T21:01:10ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Per our discussion of the coming change in GC student addresses, we should create an alert for GC people to see whether they should change their addresses

the alert should be seen once and should be dismissible. it should lead people to the place where they can change their email address
