CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #3393 (Resolved): Widgets reset on JITP
https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3393

Matt Gold
mattgold@gmail.com

Hi Boone--

It looks like the latest update of the Commons have reset the homepage widgets on JITP - http://jitp.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

Of immediate concern, I'd like to know whether there is an easy way for me to see how these were set up before the update so that I can restore previous settings (I'm guessing no - but maybe on CDEV?)

Of secondary concern, I'm wondering whether these changes were specific to this theme or whether this will be a wider problem on the Commons.

Marking with high priority as the JITP team is worried and the effects of this could be widespread.

NYCDH Community Site - Bug #2762 (Resolved): Unable to Delete Spam Groups
https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/2762
2013-08-28T17:51:31Z
Matt Gold
mattgold@gmail.com

Hi Ray -

A rash of spam groups have appeared on NYCDH. I thought that marking users as spam and then deleting accounts would delete everything they had done, but it looks like the spam groups stayed.

The problem is that when I try to delete the groups manually in the dashboard - http://nycdh.org/wp-admin/network/admin.php?page=bp-groups - the delete doesn't work. I mark a bunch with checkmarks and then click "delete," but the groups stay.

Can you please make this a high priority and look into this as soon as you can? Many thanks.

CUNY Academic Commons - Support #2068 (Resolved): User Blog Not Accessible

One of those blogs with a really long name is not accessible: http://ascp81000introductiontoamericanstudiesmals73100americanculturesandvaluesgcfall2012.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

(error I see: "Oops! Google Chrome could not find ascp81000introductiontoamericanstudiesmals73100americanculturesandvaluesgcfall2012.commons.gc.cuny.edu")

The site does show up in the list of sites in the Commons Network admin dashboard.

A link to the blog shows up on the group associated with the blog:

http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/ascp-81000-introduction-to-american-studies-mals-73100-american-cultures-and-values-gc-fall-2012/

Possibly related to one of the tickets we've completed lately related to long blog names?

This blog is for a class, so I'd like to resolve this soon if we can. Though perhaps the quickest thing to do would be to ask him to start a new blog and associate that one with the group instead?

CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #165 (Resolved): White Screen of Death on Commons MediaWiki
https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/165

Hi Guys,

We had a report from a member that the Commons wiki isn't working. It looks like the page loads, but then goes to a WSoD. Perhaps it's happening when it loads one of the associated extensions?

As for the inevitable "did you touch anything?" question, the answer is sort of, but not really. This morning, I backed up our theme and plugin directories via FTP, but that only sent files from the server to my computer -- not the other way around.

Any ideas? I tried to enable error reporting on localsettings.php, but that didn't seem to work (lines are at the bottom and currently commented out).
