Redmine NYCDH Community Site - Bug #15247 (Resolved): Registration issuehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/152472022-02-03T04:25:26ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Ray -- someone contacted us about trying to register with a hotmail.com address. I went to add them and then found that they already had an account. The registration form one finds through the homepage should be requiring people to have .edu or .org addresses. However, I'm wondering whether a plugin on a subsite, like the Event Tickets plugin on dhweek.nycdh.org, is creating accounts for users no matter what email domain they use.

Would you mind looking into this? Thanks so much.
NYCDH Community Site - Bug #14861 (Resolved): User unable to access profile editing pagehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/148612021-10-13T16:46:00ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Ray,

A user is reporting a problem posting to a forum on the NYCDH site:

According to my tests, bold: no issue.
If I do a hyperlink, it blocks the post.

Specifically I hit: Link> add the url > tried both click open link in new window and don't click (same result).
I simply pasted the link https://dh.njit.edu/digital-humanities-showcase. The post was blocked again! Curious. It works with the google form link. Maybe considers the link not safe for some reason?

Hi Ray,

On the homepage of the NYCDH site ( http://nycdh.org ), there is a link in the welcome text widget that goes to http://dhweek.nycdh.org ). As you can see in the attached screenshot, it is an http link, but when I mouse over it in Chrome, it shows as an https link. And when I click on it, it goes, strangely, to a ws.gc.cuny.edu login site, which suggests a redirection problem. do you have any sense of what is going on here?
NYCDH Community Site - Bug #10325 (Resolved): Digest email formattinghttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/103252018-09-14T15:37:24ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Ray --

As I look at the members list of the Announcements group, I see that most people are on Daily Digest, which I find to be unexpected.
Hi Ray,

Yesterday I was helping someone with the NYCDH announcements group.
Hi Ray,

This came in from a NYCDH member -- do you have thoughts?

I'm getting a strange error if I try to access my profile from the upper right avatar menu (http://nycdh.org/wp-admin/profile.php). It tells me, "Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page."

I can navigate to edit my profile another way (reaching http://nycdh.org/members/adonlon/profile/edit/group/1/) so it's not urgent--but I thought I'd let you know.

Hi Ray --

I used to have "All Email" set as my subscription setting on the Steering Group http://nycdh.org/groups/nycdh-steering-group/forum/ on NYCDH, but I noticed recently that I haven't been receiving email. I think that I stopped receiving email a while ago -- Dec 18 is the last message I have in my inbox, though messages have been posted since.

When I visited the site today, I saw that my account was set to "No Email" for the Steering Group. I have no idea how that happened or whether I am the only one to whom this happened.

I changed it back to "all email," which perhaps was a mistake as it will make troubleshooting more difficult. Sorry if that is the case.
NYCDH Community Site - Bug #3286 (Resolved): Have BP Docs take on Access Defaults of grouphttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/32862014-06-24T21:41:53ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com
