Redmine NYCDH Community Site - Bug #15247 (Resolved): Registration issuehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/152472022-02-03T04:25:26ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Ray -- someone contacted us about trying to register with a hotmail.com address. I went to add them and then found that they already had an account. The registration form one finds through the homepage should be requiring people to have .edu or .org addresses. However, I'm wondering whether a plugin on a subsite, like the Event Tickets plugin on dhweek.nycdh.org, is creating accounts for users no matter what email domain they use.

Would you mind looking into this? Thanks so much.
NYCDH Community Site - Support #15171 (Resolved): Unclear how to delete accounthttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/151712022-01-10T16:12:06ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Ray -- someone asked to delete their account on nycdh.org. I went to document the process but realized that I don't know how to tell people to delete their own accounts.
Hi Ray,

A user is reporting a problem posting to a forum on the NYCDH site:

According to my tests, bold: no issue.
If I do a hyperlink, it blocks the post.

Specifically I hit: Link> add the url > tried both click open link in new window and don't click (same result).
I simply pasted the link https://dh.njit.edu/digital-humanities-showcase. The post was blocked again! Curious. It works with the google form link. Maybe considers the link not safe for some reason?

Hi Ray,

On the homepage of the NYCDH site ( http://nycdh.org ), there is a link in the welcome text widget that goes to http://dhweek.nycdh.org ). As you can see in the attached screenshot, it is an http link, but when I mouse over it in Chrome, it shows as an https link. And when I click on it, it goes, strangely, to a ws.gc.cuny.edu login site, which suggests a redirection problem. do you have any sense of what is going on here?
NYCDH Community Site - Bug #10325 (Resolved): Digest email formattinghttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/103252018-09-14T15:37:24ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Ray --

I've been pretty assiduous about marking users as spam on NYCDH.org, but I've noticed that even though I've marked users as spam, they still show up on the members widget on the homepage. Please see the attached screenshots. The homepage screenshot comes from a look at the site as a non logged-in user (ie., not an admin view). The second screenshot is of the network view of users.

As you'll see, two members are marked as spam on the backend but still show up on the frontend:

oakleymframe
akalkukost

I think that this is less about these particular users than the way the widget is handling information, since in the past, I've marked users as spam and they show up, but then as more users register and I mark as spam, the older ones cycle off the list and the newer ones appear.
