Hi Boone,

I'm trying to save metadata for the CAC Subcommittee -- https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/cuny-academic-commons-subcommittee/admin/edit-details/ .

I selected CUNY-wide in the campus info but it didn't appear to save -- the page reloads with that info not recorded, though other new additional metadata (e.g. primary purpose) were saved
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #10538 (Resolved): "This Site Can't be Reached"https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/105382018-10-16T02:58:55ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Boone,

Lately, when I click on a link from an email notification, I briefly (for a second or two) see an error message that says "This Site Can't be Reached." The page then resolves to a CAC link and the page loads normally.

I've been trying to capture a screenshot, but it happens just quickly enough that I've been unable to.

I'm not sure how/whether you can reproduce, but perhaps you can try? I do have the Chrome extension HTTPS Everywhere active in case that might make a difference
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #6671 (Assigned): "Post too often" RBE error messagehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/66712016-11-11T14:55:22ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Ray,

I sent a reply by email to the CAC group just now. The message posted, but I also received an error message by email -- please see attached
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #4602 (Duplicate): "Home" button in forum search leads to CAC homepag...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/46022015-09-12T01:31:54ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

I was just using our new forum search feature, which is great. However, if you start in a group space and search a group forum, when you search you are taken to an interface where there is no way to get back to the group in question. Clicking "home" in the breadcrumb links at the top of the field lead to the CAC homepage rather than the group homepage. There should be a way to get back to the group (other than clicking the "back" button)

Hi Boone,

George tried to post his CAT minutes to the forum as he usually does after a meeting, but he ran into a problem. His report is below and a screenshot is attached. If you have a chance to take a quick look at this or assign to someone else, I would appreciate it. Many thanks.

The CAT forum shows the most recent post as Stephen Francouer's on altmetrics from a few days ago, and yet, if I try to post the minutes, I get "ERROR: Duplicate topic detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!" (see the attached screenshot). I think this happened once before, when there was a delay except that then my (re)sending resulted in multiple posts. Boone may have corrected for this, which is why I'm seeing the error message. I'm assuming that the message is queued up and just not going up for some reason.

Just visited the CUNY DHI forum page as a non-logged-in user and saw a "Post New Topic" button there. Clicking it didn't do anything but bring me down to the bottom of the page, but that button probably shouldn't be visible to non-logged-in users.

A very minor issue, but I thought I'd note it.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #2858 (Resolved): […] reduxhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/28582013-10-31T00:47:42ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

When I have a blog associated with a group and turn on the BuddyPress Group Email Subscription plugin, group members receive activity notifications of new posts. This is great, but I've noticed that notifications appear to show only truncated excerpts of the posts in question and that they all end with "[…]", the special character for ellipses, rather than ellipses themselves.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #1829 (Rejected): 'No Image' checkbox on Featured Content widget is n...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/18292012-04-16T03:52:27ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Just tried to feature Brian's latest Round Up post but the "no image" checkbox didn't have an effect -- a huge image showed up in the widget, displacing content on the page.

So, I'm wondering about a few things:

-- Is there a specific problem with the "no image" checkbox, something where it was working previously but isn't now? Maybe it has something to do with bug 1685 ?

-- Do we have a central ticket where featured content widget issues are centralized? I'd really like us to make some fixes in the near term, if possible, since I have so many problems featuring content on the site and it's just so visible on the homepage . . . . I know we are going to go through a redesign process, but I think that if it wouldn't take up too much time, some work on this would really be warranted.
When users click on a link in an email forum subscription post without being logged into the Commons, they see the error message "Topic not found" if the forum is private and they haven't logged in. Some more user-friendly message, such as "Because this post was published in a private forum, you must log in to the Commons before reading it." or something to that effect.

I'm listing this as a feature, as it's not really a bug.
