Hi Ray,

I received a report from someone who says he is unable to register for the NYCDH site. Here's what he says is happening:

1. He goes to the registration page and enters info
2. He clicks submit
3. He is returned to the home page without any kind of error message.

Hi Ray,

On the homepage of the NYCDH site ( http://nycdh.org ), there is a link in the welcome text widget that goes to http://dhweek.nycdh.org ). As you can see in the attached screenshot, it is an http link, but when I mouse over it in Chrome, it shows as an https link. And when I click on it, it goes, strangely, to a ws.gc.cuny.edu login site, which suggests a redirection problem. do you have any sense of what is going on here?
NYCDH Community Site - Bug #9089 (Rejected): User experiences phishing warninghttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/90892018-01-17T19:05:22ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Ray -

A rash of spam groups have appeared on NYCDH. I thought that marking users as spam and then deleting accounts would delete everything they had done, but it looks like the spam groups stayed.

The problem is that when I try to delete the groups manually in the dashboard - http://nycdh.org/wp-admin/network/admin.php?page=bp-groups - the delete doesn't work. I mark a bunch with checkmarks and then click "delete," but the groups stay.

Can you please make this a high priority and look into this as soon as you can? Many thanks.
NYCDH Community Site - Bug #2690 (Resolved): Spam Registrationshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/26902013-08-09T11:35:10ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Hi Ray --

Even with a captcha on the registration form and AVH Spam Blocker in action, I'm receiving 3-6 spam registrations a day on NYCDH.org. Any thoughts about other ways to prevent spammers from registering?

I received an email notification that a user marked as spam changed his/her/its password. How is that possible? My assumption was that users marked as spam would be locked out of the site.
Ever since the BP upgrade, I've noticed that there is a moment or two, when the homepage first loads, when it looks like all of text on the "hero" slides is layered on top of one another, creating a jumbled look that resolves itself once the page loads. But I'm curious about why this is happening and whether there is anything we can do to change it. Anyone have ideas?
