Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #71 (Resolved): Forum of Private Group Not Hiddenhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/712009-11-25T02:50:25ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

The forum for "Possible Information Degree," a private group, seems to be publicly accessible through the forum link on the nav bar.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #65 (Resolved): Blogs not accepting doc and docx files as extensionshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/652009-11-16T02:17:34ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

A user reported that attempts to attach MS Word files (in either .doc or .docx formats) were unsuccessful. I asked him to send me both files, and I was able to upload them through my admin account. However, I gave it a try using the test student account and received the following error message upon attempting to upload the file: "File type does not meet security guidelines. Try another."

I went in under the user account and saw that neither .doc nor .docx were listed as allowed file types. I added them, and then I was able to upload both files.

A few thoughts/questions:

1. Did anyone remove the doc and docx extensions from the allowed list? And, if so, why? I may be wrong about this, but I thought that we had allowed such uploads before. If that setting gets wiped out when we upgrade WPMu, we may want to add this to the list of cusomizations we need to make each time we upgrade.

2. Just a note to myself that it's important to test using a regular user account rather than an admin account, since there are obviously some things that work for admins and not for others.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #56 (Resolved): Addition of a Profile Field Option Removes Existing Onehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/562009-10-25T15:52:08ZMatt Goldmattgold@gmail.com

Last week, we had a request to add the School for Professional Studies to our profile field options. I added it, but what appears to have happened is that the act of adding SPS removed one of our existing options -- CUNY Central (I believe that that was the option most recently added before SPS).

I just went and tried to re-add CUNY Central, but doing that removed SPS.

Any help that you can give me would be appreciated. Profile fields are handled through BuddyPress, and the interface can be found on the dashboard (Dashboard > BuddyPress > Profile Field Setup

One concern I have is that once we get both options fixed, that we edit the database so that we don't wind up with two groupIDs for one school
