In reference to http://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3478
I am just wondering - should members be required to open up their own Google Analytics account and use their own tracking ID or should we provide the Commons tracking ID so that it flows into our statistics and set up a view for them as per usual? It seems that mapped domain statistics are lost if they don't use our tracking ID. On the other hand, if some site uses this plugin that is not mapped, and uses our tracking ID, would the stats be counted twice?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #3556 (Resolved): Lost Access to Create Hero Slideshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/35562014-10-15T23:09:45Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Hi -
from Tsubasa:
"Greg just informed me that CNAME records for the domain name is now pointed to commons.gc.cuny.edu. Please do let us know if there's any other step that we need to take on our side."

When I go to bkpublicscholars.org, I am directed to the Commons Home Page. It seems that there might be a problem? Wondering if it is on our end or on our member's end. Thanks.
CUNY Academic Commons - Support #3081 (Resolved): Lost Access to Create Hero Slideshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/30812014-02-27T12:41:58Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I don't think I ever noticed Tools>>Domain Mapping and Tools>>Redirection available to Commons members. Just wondering if this is a setting that got turned on by accident? Or maybe the two options have been available all along, and I just didn't notice...

Jason Tougaw created a blog called "http://whatistheself.commons.gc.cuny.edu" and realized that he wanted a different name. Somehow he changed the domain (not sure how) and lost ability to get to the admin panel. You can see that it still exists if you look at his profile - but when you click on it the link is broken. Here is what he wrote in email:

"I created a blog with the URL whatistheself.commons.gc.cuny.edu. This is going to be a student project, and my students want to change the title. I was trying to figure out how to change the url and I changed the domain and now have lost access to the Dashboard."

Need help to delete the site so he can start over.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #2525 (Resolved): Twitter Widget Pro Pluginhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/25252013-03-26T12:20:21Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Tim Wilson is having an issue with the Twitter Widget Pro plugin. The plugin used to work fine, but it seems that it got updated, and now when he tries to authorize his account, it fails to authorize. It says “Could not recognize the response from Twitter”. This seems related to a recent issue found on wordpress.org about the plugin, and it seems like there is a fix. see - http://wordpress.org/support/topic/authorize-new-account-does-not-redirect

Can we update the plugin to see if it fixes Tim's issue?

The Help & Support forum is growing and members are asking for a way to search its contents. Can we add a search box (i.e. maybe just a Google search)? Also, can I refer people to the search documentation that I wrote, even though it's still a work in progress? People are looking for answers about search on their site.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #1936 (Resolved): Redmine email notificationshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/19362012-06-12T02:48:37Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Odd to add a defect for our bug tracking software, but I wonder if anyone has any clue why I stopped receiving email notifications from Redmine? I just checked my email, and haven't received any email from Redmine since beginning of May. I tried changing notification criteria, but no dice. Not going to spam folder either. Just wondering if anyone is encountering this too...
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #1343 (Rejected): Display issue on Front Page - Hero slide descriptio...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/13432011-11-12T16:00:09Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I think there may be an issue with the last hero slide plugin on the front page.

Steps to reproduce error:

click on "People"

click on "CUNY Academic Commons" on top navigation in blue

I have attached an image of what I see. Actually the hero slide descriptions start cycling through in that little area, without the pictures.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #1310 (Resolved): Zotpresshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/13102011-11-02T02:34:19Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I think we currently have version 4.2.6 installed on this plugin. Can we upgrade to 4.5.2? I think the new version has a lot of improvements.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #1230 (Resolved): Access to blogs after releasehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/12302011-10-13T01:54:09Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Hi - I've noticed that I can't get into some blogs after release. For example: DHI - http://cunydhi.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ Codex - http://codex.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ GSLIS - http://qcgslis.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
But I have been able to get into others. for example - http://latinofacultyinitiativecuny.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

Anyone else seeing this problem?
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #371 (Resolved): Google Maps Embed - WordPress Plug-in Requesthttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3712010-10-12T23:49:13Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Hi - We currently have the "Google Maps Quicktag" plug-in which doesn't really allow a user to embed a google map into a page or post. It lets you add a link to a google map and isn't very user friendly.

I was wondering if we can install "Google Maps Embed" - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-maps-embed/ - which adds an icon to the WSIWYG editor and is very easy to use. This is by far not an urgent request - just a nice to have...

Once the new Wiki upgrade is in place, please install two new extensions: Collection and PDF_Book. (Hopefully they won't conflict with the other extensions we've got.)
