Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #517 (Resolved): Image handling for new BP "wiki-like" pluginhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/5172010-12-29T00:05:24Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I can see that you can probably go into the HTML mode to enter images. But I think we need an easier way to add, scale, and position images.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #516 (Rejected): Embedding video on new BP "wiki-like" pluginhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/5162010-12-28T23:58:39Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I tried to embed a video - but just got the hyperlink. Is embedding video possible?
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #515 (Rejected): TOC, Tags and a Tag Cloud for new BP "wiki-like"...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/5152010-12-28T23:51:44Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Can we get tag functionality and a tag cloud? I could see this would be useful for sorting through the documents. And maybe table of contents to the left of the tag cloud?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #461 (Resolved): Atahualpa 3.3.3 - does it need to be upgraded for W...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/4612010-12-10T00:56:52Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I am using Atahualpa for the Commons Codex, and I tried to go to the Options in the dashboard - but they are gone. Previously, the theme had an options tab that let you control many configurations, but I don't see it anymore. Do we need an upgrade for new version of WP?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #460 (Resolved): Older Images not showing up on Wiki after release 1.1.1https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/4602010-12-09T23:10:17Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Just noticed that the wiki is experiencing just the opposite symptoms as after release 1.1. Newer pages seem to display images correctly, but older pages are displaying hyperlinks instead of images. Example of a page just showing the hyperlinks is the main wiki page: http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/wiki/index.php/Welcome_to_the_Academic_Commons_Wiki

Must be a config problem again. Thanks!
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #448 (Resolved): Media Element HTML5 Player Pluginhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/4482010-12-08T05:28:45Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I tried for a long time to get this plugin to work. It works perfectly for audio. But for video, I always get an error message - [ERROR: No URL was passed to the generic video BBCode]. I am using a simple short code as described in the documentation. I uploaded a test video and keyed in the following:
[video src="http://testprivategroup.commons.gc.cuny.edu/files/2010/12/Wildlife.wmv" width="640" height="360"]

As I said, a similarly formatted shortcode for audio works fine.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #447 (Resolved): Widgetize Google Gadjets pluginhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/4472010-12-08T05:17:00Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I installed this plugin and found that there is some kind of conflict (maybe with jquery??). When I add the embedded code in the widget, and saved it, the sidebar had parts of the Commons dropdown options from the header on the sidebar rather than content from the gadget. This happened with three gadgets I tried.

The following shows the sidebar of a test blog with the American Memories collection gadget from Library of Congress: http://testprivategroup.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #438 (Resolved): lost write privileges on wiki image folderhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/4382010-12-07T04:19:29Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

After 1.1 - looks like users have lost the ability to upload images. Please grant privileges to this folder. Thanks!
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #437 (Resolved): Wiki not displaying images in newer pageshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/4372010-12-07T04:16:59Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

After 1.1 release, looks like some pages display images correctly, while others don’t. Newer pages seem to display hyperlinks rather than pages, and the hyperlinks don’t link anywhere.

Example of a page that works:
http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/wiki/index.php/EPortfolios_Committee_WIKI

Example of a page that doesn’t work:
http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/wiki/index.php/How_the_Internet_Works
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #403 (Duplicate): Personalization of the Profile Pagehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/4032010-11-20T16:38:22Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Explore ways to make the Profile Page more dynamic. Add RSS feed functionality so that content from blogs can be publicized here. Option to add a member's Twitter feed. Add a free-form text field (with limited html functionality) that allows a member to more fully describe him or her self. Change the existing social media hyperlinks to icons with changeable title - maybe the default title could be "Find Me Online:". Explore themes and templates for the Profile Page that will allow users to make their profile unique.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #371 (Resolved): Google Maps Embed - WordPress Plug-in Requesthttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3712010-10-12T23:49:13Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Hi - We currently have the "Google Maps Quicktag" plug-in which doesn't really allow a user to embed a google map into a page or post. It lets you add a link to a google map and isn't very user friendly.

I was wondering if we can install "Google Maps Embed" - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-maps-embed/ - which adds an icon to the WSIWYG editor and is very easy to use. This is by far not an urgent request - just a nice to have...

Thanks!
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #367 (Rejected): Wiki Searchhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3672010-10-06T22:09:37Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Investigate, and if appropriate, implement two MediaWiki extensions. The first is “Keep Searches” (http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:KeepSearches) which addresses Brian's idea of capturing and displaying recent wiki search terms in a cloud. The second would be an interim enhancement to MW search functionality - install a Google search extension http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:GoogleSiteSearch. This may be replaced at a later time by LucentSearch (http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Lucene-search).

Here's a listing of MW search extensions, for reference: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Category:Search_extensions
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #299 (Resolved): Wiki Sidebar Search Optionhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/2992010-08-23T23:14:30Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

The input box for the search option on the Wiki sidebar has disappeared.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #294 (Resolved): TagAsCategory extension on the Wikihttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/2942010-08-18T00:08:37Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

The TagAsCategory extension works perfectly if your page has already been tagged to a category. Otherwise it is not available. In separate instances of MediaWiki, the extension kicks in right away. Must be some kind of conflict that's keeping it from appearing on a page that has not been previously tagged.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #273 (Deferred): Install Collection extension for MWhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/2732010-07-19T22:45:38Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Once the new Wiki upgrade is in place, please install two new extensions: Collection and PDF_Book. (Hopefully they won't conflict with the other extensions we've got.) Here are the links: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Collection ; and http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:PdfBook

Thanks!
