Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #12573 (New): CommentPress Core Issueshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/125732020-03-24T17:51:05Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I have retested following the release and there are still some issues:

the footer is does not display correctly

"Create A New Doc" goes to create a new group/site/group+site (Special Pages)

Site Home goes to CAC Homepage (Special Pages)

Recently Active button shows all Commons members who are recently active

Who is Online shows all Commons members who are online

If you change the theme to a non commentpress theme, and try to change back, you can only change to Comment Default theme, not the Modern theme (you have to deactivate plugin and reactivate to get to the Modern theme again)

Most of these are not terribly serious, and the plugin still works, but it would be nice to get them fixed in the future, when there is time.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #11860 (New): Ensure Students Are Aware They Can Use Aliases At R...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/118602019-09-15T19:43:59Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Explore ways to ensure students know that privacy is under their control. Maybe this is just adding a sentence in the registration process, or if they select the student checkbox, a popup could appear to notify them of their right to use an alias, and that display names can be changed at any time.
CUNY Academic Commons - Support #11788 (Reporter Feedback): Plugin Request - Browse Aloudhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/117882019-08-25T13:23:14Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Hi - James Samuel's theme was updated automatically, and he has been able to fix most problems - but he still has some outstanding issues he needs help with.
We recently activated the Old Paper theme, and it is being used exclusively by LLJournal. The theme zip file apparently includes two plugins that are not currently available on the Commons: Taqyeem (recommended) and Old Paper Plugin (required). Can we get these activated for LLJournal?
In reference to http://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3478
I am just wondering - should members be required to open up their own Google Analytics account and use their own tracking ID or should we provide the Commons tracking ID so that it flows into our statistics and set up a view for them as per usual? It seems that mapped domain statistics are lost if they don't use our tracking ID. On the other hand, if some site uses this plugin that is not mapped, and uses our tracking ID, would the stats be counted twice?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #3556 (Resolved): Lost Access to Create Hero Slideshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/35562014-10-15T23:09:45Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I don't think I ever noticed Tools>>Domain Mapping and Tools>>Redirection available to Commons members. Just wondering if this is a setting that got turned on by accident? Or maybe the two options have been available all along, and I just didn't notice...

Jason Tougaw created a blog called "http://whatistheself.commons.gc.cuny.edu" and realized that he wanted a different name. Somehow he changed the domain (not sure how) and lost ability to get to the admin panel. You can see that it still exists if you look at his profile - but when you click on it the link is broken. Here is what he wrote in email:

"I created a blog with the URL whatistheself.commons.gc.cuny.edu. This is going to be a student project, and my students want to change the title. I was trying to figure out how to change the url and I changed the domain and now have lost access to the Dashboard."

Need help to delete the site so he can start over.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #2525 (Resolved): Twitter Widget Pro Pluginhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/25252013-03-26T12:20:21Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Tim Wilson is having an issue with the Twitter Widget Pro plugin. The plugin used to work fine, but it seems that it got updated, and now when he tries to authorize his account, it fails to authorize. It says “Could not recognize the response from Twitter”. This seems related to a recent issue found on wordpress.org about the plugin, and it seems like there is a fix. see - http://wordpress.org/support/topic/authorize-new-account-does-not-redirect

Can we update the plugin to see if it fixes Tim's issue?

Odd to add a defect for our bug tracking software, but I wonder if anyone has any clue why I stopped receiving email notifications from Redmine?
Hi - I've noticed that I can't get into some blogs after release. For example: DHI - http://cunydhi.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ Codex - http://codex.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ GSLIS - http://qcgslis.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
But I have been able to get into others. for example - http://latinofacultyinitiativecuny.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

Anyone else seeing this problem?
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #371 (Resolved): Google Maps Embed - WordPress Plug-in Requesthttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/3712010-10-12T23:49:13Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Hi - We currently have the "Google Maps Quicktag" plug-in which doesn't really allow a user to embed a google map into a page or post. It lets you add a link to a google map and isn't very user friendly.

I was wondering if we can install "Google Maps Embed" - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-maps-embed/ - which adds an icon to the WSIWYG editor and is very easy to use. This is by far not an urgent request - just a nice to have...

Thanks!
