Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #19674 (Resolved): The Commons seems to be downhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/196742024-02-04T20:33:47Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

QWriting migration:

QC Department of Urban Studies uses "Team Members" to populate their Faculty page. Can we install the plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/team-members/) as soon as possible? The Department is in the process of hiring 2 faculty members, and they especially want to have this page working on their new Commons site https://qcurban.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
CUNY Academic Commons - Support #11277 (Resolved): Bridge Theme is brokenhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/112772019-03-27T17:33:55Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I am noticing that all sites using the Bridge theme (or Bridge theme child) are not working. I'm wondering if Bridge was updated and the "WP Bakery Page Builder" plugin was not?

I notice this message in the Dashboard:

"*Version 18.0 - This is a major Bridge update. In order for your version to work properly, please do the following:

Install and Activate Bridge Core Plugin*"

It seems like the parts of the sites that are broken are the parts that use the page builder.

Here is an example of a broken page - https://bcchalloffame.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ - no logo, shortcodes not rendering, etc.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #5828 (Resolved): New Server - File Uploadshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/58282016-07-23T18:30:38Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I was not able to upload a file to the public group that I created. Maybe a permissions issue? See attached.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #5747 (Resolved): Commons Site seems to be downhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/57472016-06-27T23:01:10Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I noticed this morning (10:15 AM) that response time is sluggish. Takes longer to load pages than usual.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #4978 (Resolved): On Profile Provide a Way to Enter or Change Cam...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/49782015-12-06T16:54:43Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

This is in response to a ZenDesk issue - I don't think we provide a way to change campus affilitation on the profile page. This affects search results - i.e. if a student at the GC doesn't pick the GC upon registration, the search for her name with GC checks does not find her. Also, members do not seem to be able to change or add campuses to their profile.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #4685 (Resolved): Response Time Poor - Unable to connect to databasehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/46852015-09-28T22:38:46Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I noticed around 6:15 PM - response time slow. Also got message "Unable to connect to database".
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #4455 (Resolved): Group Files Download to zip Not workinghttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/44552015-08-18T21:45:21Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Member Jonathan Hall reports that on his group - https://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/wac-resource-center/ - which has a lot of files and folder, members are not able to successfully download all files to a zip file. He was able to do it on his windows machine, but colleagues report that it is not working on Mac.

I tried and wasn't really successful with either Windows or Mac.

Specifically, the files in the "WAC Fellows Professional Development" folder were found to be an issue.

He has an event coming up, and will have approximately 150 people downloading these files in the next few days in preparation - so I am marking this as "High" priority. Thanks.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #3502 (Resolved): "Create a Site" button not working on Blog Pagehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/35022014-09-29T12:21:18Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

A member reported that the "Create a Site" button is not working on the Blog Page. I tested in Chrome and Firefox, and indeed it is not working. (The workaround is to use My Sites>>Create a Site from the admin bar - that works.)
CUNY Academic Commons - Support #3424 (Resolved): Getting "Error establishing a database connection"https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/34242014-08-29T23:00:06Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Tonight I have been getting this error on the Commons when going to different pages "*Error establishing a database connection.*" I also got it once this morning and saw at the meeting that Michael Smith also got it. When I get it I simply hit enter and the page then generally loads. Maybe a network issue?
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #2009 (Resolved): New Child Theme for Woo Theme 'Simplicity'https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/20092012-07-29T16:39:32Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I created a child theme for simplicity - the only modification to the theme is make the category listing page not include the phrase "Archives |". So for example, when a reader clicks on Digital Fellows, he/she will be taken to a listing of all posts in this category, and the title will be "Digital Fellows" rather than "Archives | Digital Fellows".

I have attached the zip file of the child theme. Thanks.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #1797 (Resolved): JITP link doesn't seem to be working - "page not re...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/17972012-03-30T02:30:25Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

After the media player was installed this week, WordTube seems to work much better (I can upload SWF files, they appear in the right screens). But when I try to preview a SWF file or play an embedded a SWF file, nothing happens when I click the arrow. I tried an MP3 file and the player played that fine. (This was originally reported by Sarah Ruth Jacobs, and I tried it and got same results.)
