Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #1230 (Resolved): Access to blogs after releasehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/12302011-10-13T01:54:09Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Hi - I've noticed that I can't get into some blogs after release. For example: DHI - http://cunydhi.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ Codex - http://codex.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ GSLIS - http://qcgslis.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
But I have been able to get into others. for example - http://latinofacultyinitiativecuny.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

Anyone else seeing this problem?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #754 (Resolved): LaTex parsing on email notificationshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/7542011-05-12T01:57:17Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I don't know if this is possible to even control - but when reviewing LaTex support on the Commons, I noticed that when email notifications are sent out, LaTex code is not parsed. So if a member contributes to a group forum, and that contribution has LaTex, it looks good in the forum, but the email notification goes out with the [latex] tags.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #689 (Resolved): BP-specific custom post types should not be visible ...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/6892011-04-14T02:28:14Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I noticed that when I log into the Commons, I have access to "Dashboard", which takes me to BuddyPress options that I don't think I should have? ie - BuddyPress Invitations, Gallery Posts, System Report... Just noticed this. I'm not complaining, but do I have too much access?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #592 (Resolved): Trouble adding new user to Bloghttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/5922011-02-19T20:41:00Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I tried to add Sarah (username="Sarah_Morgano") to the Codex blog as an admin user, but was unsuccessful. I got a lot of conflicting error messages - usernames should not contain "_", only lowercase allowed, username already exists, email address is not allowed, email address already exists). This seems to be a bug and the error msgs don't make sense - I change the case to lower and still get the error. I eliminate the underscore - and it says the user already exists. But the it says below that (obviously) the user must exist to be granted access. I am attaching a screenshot.
Valerie Futch switched themes from Green Park to Woo Canvas Theme, and then switched back to Green Park. In the process, she seems to have lost access to the tabs on the dashboard which are used to control Green Park. Could this be a rights issue? And if so, can her rights be restored. It appears that she still has rights to post to the blog. The blog url is http://teachwithpurposebronxcc.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

I've tried this on several blogs and cannot active the plugin if it hasn't been activated before. When I try, I get directed to the first blog I created on the Commons. Not sure why... WP 3.0 ??

Also - just wanted to mention, it would be good to upgrade this plugin, as there are many new Apture features.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #528 (Resolved): Delete pages using new BP "wiki" plugin?https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/5282011-01-02T16:37:48Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I am not sure, but do we let admins of a group delete pages? I see that page titles can be changed and content removed - so this is a very low priority (and actually not something we let regular users of the wiki do).
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #461 (Resolved): Atahualpa 3.3.3 - does it need to be upgraded for W...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/4612010-12-10T00:56:52Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I am using Atahualpa for the Commons Codex, and I tried to go to the Options in the dashboard - but they are gone. Previously, the theme had an options tab that let you control many configurations, but I don't see it anymore. Do we need an upgrade for new version of WP?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #460 (Resolved): Older Images not showing up on Wiki after release 1.1.1https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/4602010-12-09T23:10:17Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Just noticed that the wiki is experiencing just the opposite symptoms as after release 1.1. Newer pages seem to display images correctly, but older pages are displaying hyperlinks instead of images. Example of a page just showing the hyperlinks is the main wiki page: http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/wiki/index.php/Welcome_to_the_Academic_Commons_Wiki

Must be a config problem again. Thanks!
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #448 (Resolved): Media Element HTML5 Player Pluginhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/4482010-12-08T05:28:45Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I tried for a long time to get this plugin to work. It works perfectly for audio. But for video, I always get an error message - [ERROR: No URL was passed to the generic video BBCode]. I am using a simple short code as described in the documentation. I uploaded a test video and keyed in the following:
[video src="http://testprivategroup.commons.gc.cuny.edu/files/2010/12/Wildlife.wmv" width="640" height="360"]

As I said, a similarly formatted shortcode for audio works fine.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #447 (Resolved): Widgetize Google Gadjets pluginhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/4472010-12-08T05:17:00Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I installed this plugin and found that there is some kind of conflict (maybe with jquery??). When I add the embedded code in the widget, and saved it, the sidebar had parts of the Commons dropdown options from the header on the sidebar rather than content from the gadget. This happened with three gadgets I tried.

The following shows the sidebar of a test blog with the American Memories collection gadget from Library of Congress: http://testprivategroup.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #438 (Resolved): lost write privileges on wiki image folderhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/4382010-12-07T04:19:29Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

After 1.1 - looks like users have lost the ability to upload images. Please grant privileges to this folder. Thanks!
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #437 (Resolved): Wiki not displaying images in newer pageshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/4372010-12-07T04:16:59Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

After 1.1 release, looks like some pages display images correctly, while others don’t. Newer pages seem to display hyperlinks rather than pages, and the hyperlinks don’t link anywhere.

Example of a page that works:
http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/wiki/index.php/EPortfolios_Committee_WIKI

Example of a page that doesn’t work:
http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/wiki/index.php/How_the_Internet_Works
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #299 (Resolved): Wiki Sidebar Search Optionhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/2992010-08-23T23:14:30Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

The input box for the search option on the Wiki sidebar has disappeared.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #294 (Resolved): TagAsCategory extension on the Wikihttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/2942010-08-18T00:08:37Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

The TagAsCategory extension works perfectly if your page has already been tagged to a category. Otherwise it is not available. In separate instances of MediaWiki, the extension kicks in right away. Must be some kind of conflict that's keeping it from appearing on a page that has not been previously tagged.
