Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #14113 (Hold): Block Editor Not Working on this page - Json errorhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/141132021-03-05T15:10:25Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I was helping Marlene with spacing of headers and it seems like the Block Editor stopped working. I saw an JSON error message at the top, but don't see it anymore. Classic editor and Elementor editor work okay

Hi - Commons member Shawn McGinniss reports an issue with posting group announcements: "I encountered an error today while trying to post an announcement which reads, 'There was a problem posting your update, please try again' in a red bar above the text entry box on the Announcements page. The error is the same across browsers and occurs whether or not the box is checked to email the announcement to all members of the group. "

This is Zendesk issue <a class="issue tracker-2 status-5 priority-4 priority-default closed" title="Feature: Add avatar dimensions to the Change Avatar page.
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but just wanted to discuss this.

The "Reply" button seems to only appear when a file was uploaded, when a friendship is made, or someone posts a personal “Update”, or when someone creates a group, or when someone joins a group. Is that the correct? It then opens up a place where you can post your reply, and that post just seems to go to your activity stream. I am not totally clear on the purpose, but think it is designed to then show up in your others "My Commons" screens - kinda like an aside or conversation? (i.e. "Glad to see you two are friends" or "Looking forward to reading the file you uploaded.") If that is the case, maybe the wording could be a little more clear. I don't think members will be all that clear about what they are doing when they create reply posts. I wasn't at first.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #3522 (Resolved): 1.7 Testing - Delete button not working on My Commonshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/35222014-10-04T15:32:54Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

When I began testing this morning it was working - but after 15 minutes or so, it just spins every time I click a delete button on a My Commons thread. I tried on Window 7 - Firefox and Chrome and also on a Mac with Chrome.

Also - I think it is unclear what “Delete” means. I am assuming it means to filter out the entry from your personal activity stream. Should it be instead called “Filter Out”?

In certain circumstances, I think when a comment is added to a post, or when you click on “Delete” you have an additional checkbox – “Prevent this page from creating additional dialogs?” I think the wording could be a little clearer - “Filter out any more comments on this post/topic” or something like that. I'm assuming it's meant to be used when you are tired of follow a thread.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #3502 (Resolved): "Create a Site" button not working on Blog Pagehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/35022014-09-29T12:21:18Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

A member reported that the "Create a Site" button is not working on the Blog Page. I tested in Chrome and Firefox, and indeed it is not working.
"Publications on the Commons" was added to the About tab on the site's main navigation, but it is missing on the Admin Bar's "About" link. Low priority - but would be nice to have options consistent. Thanks.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #2581 (Resolved): Blog Deleted?https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/25812013-05-19T21:07:24Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

I noticed that one of my blogs has been deleted. When I go to http://scottvoth.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ I get the message: "This user has elected to delete their account and the content is no longer available." I am almost positive that I never deleted this site. However, I know that I recently deleted a test site and am wondering if there might be an issue here where more sites are deleted than the one intended? I have an xml backup of the site in question, and think I can recreate it with a little work - just wondering if there is an easier way to bring it back. If not, no worries. I will recreate.

But just wondering if this might be a bigger issue. I know that I have many more blogs than a typical user, and that this issue may be hard to research. The wording of the error message is a little misleading too, in context of the Commons. If someone deletes a site, they are not really deleting their account.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #2332 (Resolved): Arras Theme Slider gets jquery errorhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/23322012-12-05T13:30:59Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

Hi - Tracy Robey reports that she is having trouble with the Arras theme slider - it seems to initially work, then later the slider freezes on first slide. I looked in firebug and seems to be getting a jquery error. Is it possible that we can upgrade to newer version of the theme to see if it fixes the issue?

I noticed that when I am in a group (for example QCGSLIS), and I click on "Blog" - it used to take me directly into the group blog.
Hi - I've noticed that I can't get into some blogs after release. For example: DHI - http://cunydhi.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ Codex - http://codex.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ GSLIS - http://qcgslis.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
But I have been able to get into others. for example - http://latinofacultyinitiativecuny.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

I noticed that when I log into the Commons, I have access to "Dashboard", which takes me to BuddyPress options that I don't think I should have? ie - BuddyPress Invitations, Gallery Posts, System Report...
I am using Atahualpa for the Commons Codex, and I tried to go to the Options in the dashboard - but they are gone. Previously, the theme had an options tab that let you control many configurations, but I don't see it anymore. Do we need an upgrade for new version of WP?
