Redmine CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #20062 (Staged for Production Release): Quick Edit Feature Resets Pos...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/200622024-03-26T23:03:59ZZachary Muhlbauer

When I use the Quick Edit option to make changes to an existing post, the author of the post automatically resets to the first individual listed in the site's user list, regardless of who the original author was.

I replicated the issue in Firefox and Safari as well as across multiple themes. I also spoke with another instructor and confirmed that the Quick Edit option resets post authorship for them, too.

It's a nasty little bug if only because determining the original author of certain posts can be tricky and time-consuming when there isn't an available edit history for the post.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #17739 (Testing Required): Embedding docs from Word in Microsoft ...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/177392023-02-28T17:06:40ZLaurie Hurson

Hi All,

As you may or may not know, CUNY has been transitioning all faculty, staff, and students to Microsoft Office 365 cloud. So instead of having Microsoft Office software, everyone now gets these tools and saves docs etc in the 365 cloud.

Someone in a training asked about embedding the Live cloud-hosted word docs into a commons site, similar to how Google docs works, so that when they update their Word doc the commons embed is also updated. This is different from how Word and the Commons works now, where faculty have to upload the static document.

Some examples of sharing links from a test cloud-hosted word doc:

Hi Commons Team,

(Marilyn says "Please open up a ticket in Redmine about this.")

We have an important need for a website to be displayed in Avenir font, due to branding reasons for a DOE-funded center. The site was moved over from Wix, where Avenir was a built-in option.

We’re creating the Commons site in Canvas, which has no option for Avenir that we can see.

Is it possible that there is an option to add code to change the site’s font to Avenir? Or, are there any themes on the Commons that have Avenir font built in or allow code to allow it? Montserrat, the recommended alternative via Google fonts, looks noticeably different from our years of existing/already-distributed materials, which we don't have a way to go back in time and change. This includes our banner and logo, which we will have to change to match our (already-designed) site.

Is there anything we can do?
Many thanks!
CUNY Academic Commons - Design/UX #17018 (Reporter Feedback): Analytics for Profile Fields & Feat...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/170182022-10-12T21:20:03ZSara Cannon

Greetings,

I am noticing something strange about the post order on this site https://8nsshl2021.commons.gc.cuny.edu/
The posts do not seem to show by the expected default order (reverse chronological.)

In addition, when I activate the simple Custom Post Order plugin in an attempt to get the posts to show in the order we want (happens to be alphabetical by title), that solution is also foiled.

I’ve included two screenshots (dashboard and front end).

When I first set these timestamps in order to show the posts alphabetically, the posts did show in the correct order. But since then, they have reverted to an order that looks random.

I attempted to re-create this on a test site, thinking that it might be related to the 2017 theme, but I got mixed results (the "Hello World" post showed at the top, when it should show last, even when I changed themes, which seemed odd, and the rest showed in normal order. Sorry I don't have more info there.)

Let me know if I can provide any additional info/apologies if this is something simple.
AD/O365 Transition from NonMatric to Matriculated Students - Feature #12062 (In Progress): creat...https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/120622019-11-12T20:50:21ZEmilio RodriguezCUNY Academic Commons - Support #11788 (Reporter Feedback): Plugin Request - Browse Aloudhttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/117882019-08-25T13:23:14Zscott vothscott.voth@verizon.net

The CC license is unintentionally displayed at the bottom of every page and post on the CETLS web site (in addition to being intentionally displayed in a widget in the footer): https://cetls.bmcc.cuny.edu/.
Antonia Levy reports that her team has been experiencing an issue with the following site for the last few weeks:
https://spsfaculty.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

Several images have disappeared from some of the pages. First, we thought it was our mistake but it keeps happening without any of us touching the pages.

We discovered another instance today, and I collected the URLs of the missing media files (before we edited the page as our faculty are using them as reference):

The URLs seem wrong to me, but I am not sure. I tried to upload an image and its URL came back with the file system url. Shouldn't it be the relative address (i.e. without the "wp-content/blogs.dir/1145"?

Anyway, they have a lot of media with URLs of this nature - I am not sure if this is causing the issue she reports, or if it is something else.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #10380 (In Progress): Remove blacklisted pluginshttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/103802018-09-25T14:52:36ZBoone Gorgesboone@gorg.es

I'd like to do a review over the next few releases of blacklisted plugins. These are plugins that are unavailable on Dashboard > Plugins, but may still be running on existing sites. For those that are running only on a small handful of sites, it may be worth removing the plugin from the codebase altogether. This data will take some time to collect.

Hi Ray - Thanks for activating. Samuel is reporting that the checkbox "More Slowly" is not slowing down the speech when he checks it. Can you take a look? Site is https://elementaryitalian.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

We had to deactivate one plugin (media element html5) to get some pages to show the change - maybe another plugin is causing troubles? The checkbox is in the footer of each page.

Since the Subscriptions Options plugin hasn't been updated in over 2 years I wanted to propose that we remove it from the directory and email blog owner using the plugin about replacing it with the Social Sticker plugin. We have a page in the Codex about the Subscription Options plugin, but nothing about Social Sticker. I'd be happy to create a new Codex page for it.

Received a bunch of requests to join a private group today, and some users included notes. When I went to the approval screen (Group Home page > Admin > Requests) the "Accept" button and the text of the message were overlaid on top of one another. We should clean up the display here so that the text can be read.
