A fix has been in place since March 26 that should have prevented these emails from being sent. Can you confirm whether the reported emails took place after this date?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #14266: Jquery Emails?https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/14266?journal_id=605502021-03-31T15:45:25ZLaurie Hurson

Ah, sorry Boone. I didn't realize there was already a ticket for this. It looks like the last email I received was on 3/26 so it should be fine. I'll let these users know there is a fix in place.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #14266: Jquery Emails?https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/14266?journal_id=605522021-03-31T15:48:11ZLaurie Hurson

additionally-- The users on this site are asking whether they should un-install the jquery plugin. Is this something we want running on all site? If so I can advise against it.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #14266: Jquery Emails?https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/14266?journal_id=605772021-03-31T20:16:01ZBoone Gorgesboone@gorg.es

The plugin is activated automatically on legacy sites, but it should be totally in the background and invisible to users. Aside from this email notification, have the users reported seeing the plugin active in other ways? In any case, I don't believe users have the ability to un-install or deactivate the plugin - it shouldn't appear on the Plugins panel.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #14266: Jquery Emails?https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/14266?journal_id=605782021-03-31T20:26:07ZLaurie Hurson

Thanks for the helpful screenshot. I have made some more changes so that you should no longer have access to these parts of the plugin UI.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #14266: Jquery Emails?https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/14266?journal_id=606022021-04-01T18:45:57ZLaurie Hurson
