Status changed from New to Reporter Feedback

Laurie, have you tried this theme elsewhere? I saw the following thread in the support forum https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cant-do-anything-in-free-version/ and it made me wonder whether the free version is worth using.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #15251: Add "Ultra" themehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/15251?journal_id=673372022-02-04T21:53:12ZLaurie Hurson

Hm, interesting to know about the free version.

This request is coming from a QC department that was using the premium version of the theme on Qwriting. Could we enable the free version on the Commons so they can play around with it to see if the free version will be meet their needs for re-creating their site?

If they choose to go premium, I know we don't love allowing that, but would could it potentially be an option? If not, I can do some research for other themes that might be a good stand in. But in the meantime, I know they are definitely looking to try out the free version first.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #15251: Add "Ultra" themehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/15251?journal_id=673722022-02-07T15:49:28ZBoone Gorgesboone@gorg.es

Target version set to 1.19.3

Free version sounds OK to me. I'll enable it only for the specific site where they want to test, so you'll have to let me know the URL of that site. It'll be available after tomorrow's scheduled release. https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/997a3def1e2d6e1b15f91d696edbfde1a6f1cb33

The paid version is a possibility for this kind of situation, but let's see first if the free one will do, as it's much easier in terms of long-term maintenance.
CUNY Academic Commons - Feature #15251: Add "Ultra" themehttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/15251?journal_id=674022022-02-08T15:23:52ZLaurie Hurson
