Description
I'm a bit confused about why commonsinabox.org isn't running the latest edition of CBOX. Can you explain, Boone, and lay out any issues/speedbumps that might be involved? I think we should acknowledge that even with the demo site, commonsinabox.org will be many people's first experience of a CBOX-like site.

1) commonsinabox.org and demo.commonsinabox.org are separate WP installations
2) They are both running version 1.0-beta1 of Commons In A Box. Why do you think they are not?
3) It is not trivially easy to upgrade the sites (they are hosted in such a way that WordPress auto-updates cannot be run), so I haven't kept them up to date with every commit, but as of yesterday, they are both totally up to date (see (2))

I can't remember at this point. I remember your saying something like this to me when I was submitting tickets to you on Sunday night, but maybe I'm confused. Is cbox.org running cbox but not the CBOX default theme? Maybe that's the confusion.
Also - Bowe's post here says:
The responsive menu is not working on this site, but it does work on the demo. It’s probably because this site is still running on a beta version of the theme!

On Sunday night, the sites were not running the latest versions of the software and theme. As of yesterday afternoon, they were (and are).
commonsinabox.org runs the Commons In A Box default theme, as does the demo site. The demo site configuration is pretty much stock (with a few tweaks); the configuration at commonsinabox.org is modified (for instance, to have a static front page, and to have a custom menu).
I'm not sure what Bowe means in that thread. For one thing, the theme itself is still, technically, "beta". For another, the responsive menu is indeed working on the commonsinabox.org site. So, I'm not sure what to make of it.
For a number of boring technical reasons, it may not always be the case that commonsinabox.org and demo.commonsinabox.org are running the bleeding edge version of all the Commons In A Box software. Generally, this fact will be imperceptible to a user on the front-end of the site. When changes take place to the theme that are significant, I'll try to update at least the demo site right away. And if you ever notice any specific instance of something on one of these two sites not matching up with the latest stable release of the theme or plugin that is making a difference to user experience, let me know and I'll rectify it.
