This is a huge usability issue and does not reflect well on our project. Boone, this is a WP issue, right? Any word on whether a fix is in the works?

I've tried to replicate this on a number of different iPads running a few different versions of iOS, but I haven't been able to.

Chris, can you provide more details? What iPad are you using, and what's the iOS version? I assume you're using the built-in Safari as your browser?

Are you able to reproduce the problem on cdev.gc.cuny.edu? How about when you log in with the teststudent credentials (which I'll email to you right now to be sure you have them)? I wonder if this problem might be triggered by something specific having to do with your account.

Boone, I tried logging in with the teststudent credentials on cdev and there were no problems. Then I logged in on cdev with my credentials and it disappeared again. So it does look like you were right and it is something to do with my account.

In case you need it for some reason, the iPad I'm using has an older version of iOS, 5.1.1
and if I go to whatsmyuseragent.com it shows the version of safari as
Mozilla/5.0(iPad; CPU OS 5_1_1 like Mac OS X)
AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko)
Version/5.1 Mobile/9B206 Safari/7534.48.3

Thanks, Chris. Since this is happening on cdev, can I ask you to do me a favor? Log in to your account on cdev and change the password to something neutral. Then send it to me over email. That way, I'll be able to log in using your creds to figure out what's up. Thanks!

Hi Chris - A ping on this issue. Can you read over the above and let me know whether you think we need to continue pursuing?

  • Status changed from Reporter Feedback to Rejected

I remain unable to reproduce, and I haven't heard reports about this in the last year, so I'm assuming that it's no longer an issue. If problems persist, please feel free to reopen with details.
