Has it happened with any other posts? Have you gotten reports of any other users getting the notice more than once?
Could you double-check the emails to make sure that they are, in fact, identical? (make sure they're not addressed to someone else; that the notification settings link URL is the same in each case; etc)

No, this hasn't happened with other posts, and no, I haven't heard of other reports. I've asked George whether he did anything unusual; my guess is that he did and that that will explain the error.

These all have different URLs. I checked the list of forum topics and it appears that George posted the same item four times: http://commons.gc.cuny.edu/groups/cuny-committee-on-academic-technology-62702785/forum/
