Yesterday Amanda Hickman reported the following:

The commons is telling me that I can't be http://cuny.is/amandabee because that is taken, but the URL just redirects to the commons home page. So is it really taken?

I looked on the backend of cuny.is/admin and the URL is not taken so I'm not sure why she can't use it. I can manually create the short URL for her, but wasn't sure if we wanted to troubleshoot first.
