Category name set to WordPress (misc)

Status changed from New to Reporter Feedback

Target version set to 1.10.17

The Oceanmist theme was building its comment form in such a way that the 'action' parameter for the comment form read http://.. rather than https://. Since we force *.commons.gc.cuny.edu traffic over HTTPS, this request was failing. I'm unsure why this is happening just now, but there are a number of other issues being reported today that may indicate some server-level change (#7985, <a class="issue tracker-1 status-5 priority-6 priority-high3 closed" title="Bug: http://on.socialpaper.gc.cuny.edu down?
For the time being, I've put a hotfix in place that forces URLs like this to be HTTPS, which appears to fix the immediate problem. Can you please verify?
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #7994: Comments not appearinghttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/7994?journal_id=315712017-04-20T15:11:22ZMarilyn WeberMweber@gc.cuny.edu
