Operations like new forum posts can be pretty resource intensive. For example, inserting new content into a MySQL database could require rebuilding indexes, or use of temporary tables, or something like that. MySQL uses the system temp directory (/tmp in our case) for these sorts of operations. So it's possible that something like this was taking place.
CUNY Academic Commons - Bug #8410: Forum Post Page Hanginghttps://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/8410?journal_id=329532017-07-21T13:24:16ZBoone Gorgesboone@gorg.es
