Description

The very first database query run on every pageload is to the domain mapping table, which determines whether the current request is for a mapped domain. Probably 99%+ of our requests are to commons.gc.cuny.edu or *.commons.gc.cuny.edu, which indicates that the request is not mapped. In these cases, we should skip the database query.
