Hello,
The GCDI is looking for functionality that allows posts to also be tweeted from the Dashboard. This feature seems like it would be useful to others on the Commons as well. We found this plugin which accomplishes this -

Is it possible to add this? Maybe even by the next release date?

Yes, we can add something like this. I'm CCing Scott Voth because I'm surprised we don't already have something along these lines. I know that some of the older Twitter integrations have become obsolete because of Twitter API changes. Scott, do you have any thoughts about this? Ideally we'd have a single recommended solution for sending posts to Twitter.

Hi Boone - I don't see any plugins on the Commons that do this. In the past I think we had some, but they stopped working when Twitter made API changes.

Thanks for chiming in, Scott. We'll put this into the next release. When that happens, we might consider adding info to the Help pages about how to set it up - each individual site will be required to register its own Twitter API client.
