Description

Hi - DHIPINDER WALIA has a site: https://cunytimeline.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ that uses the Knight Lab TimelineJS plugin. I worked with him on another issue, so I can attest to the fact it was working fine before yesterday. Yesterday, he was giving a presentation and the images in the timeline did not resolve. Message: "Photo is not found or is private." He has five different timelines on his site. He is using flickr to host the images. (https://www.flickr.com/photos/188145377@N05/)

Here is a link to one of the timelines - https://cunytimeline.commons.gc.cuny.edu/militant/

Here is a image url he is using - https://flic.kr/p/2iWPh8k - it is obtained via flickr share button. I asked him to instead try the flickr embed url: https://www.flickr.com/photos/188145377@N05/49847072897/ but it still didn't work.

Any idea why all of a sudden the images are not embedding? Thanks.

  • Status changed from New to Reporter Feedback

When loading the page, I'm seeing requests to Flickr's API that have the following response:

jsonp1({"stat":"fail","code":100,"message":"Invalid API Key (Key has expired)"})

Some of the Flickr help links suggest that the user will have to reach out to Flickr support for help: https://www.flickr.com/help/forum/en-us/72157650610287577/
