Description

Via Zendesk from Adam Wandt:

Here's the responses to the Google Form:

What's the name of the plugin/theme? *
https://gracethemes.com/themes/dentist-wordpress-theme/

In a few words, what does it do? *
It is a theme that allows for sub menus

Please provide a link to the plugin on the WordPress theme repository or (https://wordpress.org/themes/) plugin repository (https://wordpress.org/plugins/) *
https://gracethemes.com/themes/dentist-wordpress-theme/

Please research the release history and popularity of the plugin. How many times has it been downloaded? When was it last updated? *
Grace Themes does not have download statistics

How is the plugin/theme different from what's already provided on the Commons? *
We require a theme for our program (John Jay MPA) that allows for sub-menus

Please let us know who you are (include a link to your site) and who will use this tool? *
This will become the main site for the John Jay College MPA site. I am a faculty member and Vice Chair for Technology for the Department of Public Management. Here is the current site: https://jjcmpa.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

If you don't want to approve this. Pointing us in the direction of a similar looking theme that allows for sub-menus would be appreciated.

The theme looks OK to me, but it's $29 to get a license, and as a matter of course, the Commons does not buy themes for its users. In cases where an organization wants a commercial theme, they can purchase a license and then pass along the theme files and any other necessary info to us. The protocol is spelled out a bit at https://dev.commons.gc.cuny.edu/hosting-partner-handbook/#plugin-and-theme-requests (section 2).

If this organization has read the section in our hosting partner guide about the expectations regarding support and so forth, then they can go ahead and purchase the theme, and pass me the files via Redmine or via you.

I've CCed Scott here in case he's familiar with any existing themes on the Commons that might be made to look/act something like the Dentist theme requested by the user.

Marilyn, have we heard any follow-up from the user?

Scott, have you had a chance to look at the above and think about our existing themes?

Absolutely no follow up from the requester.

It doesn't seem like the need has anything to do with dentistry. Sub-menus are available on most (if not all) themes. I think the need is to show Adam how to do it.

Looks like he went with Eduma:

We are looking forward to the installation. It is critical we get the site finished by the end of the year.

I hope everyone is doing well. Happy Holidays!

PS: Boone… love the innovative email address. (It has been a while - hope all is well)."
