Description

Via ZD:

"I am Vivek Sharma, Adjunct and a full-time student at The Graduate Center. I am teaching python and have created a website for my students.
With emergence of chatbots like GPT-3, I would like to add a chatbot system in my website. I tried searching for a AI chatbot plug-in in CUNY commons but failed to come across one.
There’s one in wordpress community called AI chatbot with good reviews. It would be great if you could add such chatbot plugin. This will help our students in finding the things that they need through a virtual assistant.

Here’s the link to AI chatbot plugin I came across: https://wordpress.org/plugins/chatbot/#description

Let me know if you have any questions."

I've asked to be added as an admin to the site - will let you know the URL ASAP.

  • Category name set to WordPress Plugins

  • Target version set to 2.1.4

I've added the plugin in https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/bde0d8edfdbf0ffd6bb0811d168ef6d7f6121d55 and in https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/e35fae30940f39c6c350301b35de8b5233156a2a I've limited it to python171.commons.gc.cuny.edu.

I tested the default installation and it doesn't seem super useful out of the box, which is why I've limited it to this site. Once connected to OpenAI, it's probably more powerful. There are also lots of "Pro" features, but I'm not sure whether it's feasible for us or desirable for the user to pay for these add-ons. I'll let the user experiment with it.
