Description

I added a PDF to a blog post and the system generated a short code to display it. When I attempt to preview the post, I get the error message, "NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource" even though the PDF is in the media library. This is a link to the blog post draft: https://cetls.bmcc.cuny.edu/wp-admin/post.php?post=6424&action=edit&classic-editor

I'm seeing the error text "URL to the PDF file must be on exactly the same domain as the current web page." I believe this means that, while the shortcode is attempting to pull the PDF from cetls.bmcc.cuny.edu, the preview is at https://bmcccetls.commons.gc.cuny.edu/?p=6424&preview_id=6424&preview_nonce=9d9bb23702&_thumbnail_id=6430&preview=true. This is triggering errors due to the browser's CORS security policies.

I don't believe that this will be an issue once you've published the post. You may want to test in a sample post/page in order to verify.

Thank you. Oddly, I just discovered that it works fine if I preview it from the Preview link in the list of posts in the dashboard rather than using the preview function within the post.

I used to get email notifications when you responded to an issue in Redmine, but did not receive one for this. Did you change anything on your end that might impact email notifications? If not, I may need to speak to our email team, which tends to be a little overzealous in filtering out potential spam.

I don't believe anything has changed on our end. I'm still receiving notifications, anyway :) Check with your email folks.

Thanks. Can you give me the email address that notifications would come from? The last one didn't even reach the BMCC spam filter.
