closedSet up WP installation for WP edu community

Description
Hi André,
Matt and I and others have been having a discussion about playing a leadership role in the broader community of developers using WordPress in education. As a first step, we'd like to have a standalone WordPress installation where we can begin to set up a community site. This will be similar to the setup described at #2142
I created a new wiki document here on Redmine where we can hopefully write up best practices for deploying new WP installations: http://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/documents/92 Please feel free to update it as you see fit. In the last Commons team meeting, you had a great idea to publish some of these best practices on the commonsinabox.org site, for public use - this wiki page could be where we draft this documentation.
Thanks!

Very cool. What should the sub-domain be named?

Let's go with wpedu
. (We may map a separate domain on it at some point in the future.) Thanks, André!

Boone,
The email I sent to you asking if we can get together again (after Thanksgiving) to talk is directly related to this idea. I would very much like to be involved in this. I think I have some really great ideas to contribute.
