I was wondering whether it might be possible to integrate Single Sign On (SSO) into my CUNY Academic Commons website.

The short answer is no.

Longer answer: The Commons team is engaged in long-running conversations about the benefits of SSO. These conversations have two different thrusts. One is to integrate with CUNY's tools. See #19878. It's possible that we'll pursue this option in the medium-term. The other is to integrate with third-party tools (like "log in with Google"). It's unlikely we'll pursue these.
