Bug #23506
closedEvents Calendar plugin issues on GCDI webpage
0%
Description
Hi,
The following webpage is having issues due to the Events Calendar plugin.
https://gcdi.commons.gc.cuny.edu/calendar/
1. The CSS for the various categories right above the calendar ("Deadline", "Event", "External" etc.) is messed up: hovering over them produces black bars.
2. We would also like the colors of the various categories to be reflected in the events on the calendar itself. For example, "Introduction to Python", listed on the 24th of September, is a Workshop, and should therefore be green. I tried changing this on my end (WP dashboard), but it also seems to require access to the plugin itself.
If you could help me with these, I would be very grateful.
Thanks,
Chinmay

- Category name set to WordPress Plugins
- Target version set to Not tracked
These issues are due to one of the recent updates to The Events Calendar plugin.
I've addressed the first issue with some custom CSS. For the second one, Event Category Colors is now a built-in option to The Events Calendar, which requires migrating as outlined here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/migrating-from-the-standalone-category-colors-plugin-to-the-events-calendar/.
I've just initiated the Event Category Color migration. I'm not sure when this will be completed, but I'll check in later to see if this is done.

Looks like the event category color migration finished.
There is a new look to how event categories are filtered as there is a new color dropdown menu on the Calendar page. Please test it out and see if this works for the GCDI team.
