Description

Via Keeping:

I work as part of a two person web development team and we were recently contacted to help with a website for which the owner is considering hosting on the CUNY Commons. Is FTP access possible for our node/subdomain? For example if we are https://xxxxxx.commons.gc.cuny.edu – is it possible to get FTP access for just our Wordpress instance hosted at the https://xxxxxx.commons.gc.cuny.edu

Hi Marilyn,

Can you tell the development team that we cannot give them access to the server.

As with similar requests in the past, if their development team needs to create a new theme for the site in question, they will need to develop the theme in a local version of WordPress or in a staging environment of their choosing and when the theme is ready, they can provide it to us so we can deploy it on the Commons. If the team needs specific plugins that are not available on the Commons, they will need to submit a request located at https://help.commons.gc.cuny.edu/id-like-use-premium-theme-plugin-next-steps/.

If they have other requests that are not covered above or if they have any follow-up questions, let us know.
