closedDomain Mapping

Description
I'd like a custom domain for my group and trying to point womeninstem.commons.gc.cuny.edu to cunywomeninstem.org.
So far, I changed the address record for cunywomeninstem.org to the GC common's IP address, and changed blog setting so it's the primary domain.
Now, it's been more than 24 hours and I still don't see the blog at cunywomeninstem.org. Also, I updated the primary domain, and can no longer login to see what might be going on.
Any help would be great! Thanks.

I'm not receiving an IP when I query cunywomeninstem.org on DNS.
Matt, Suzanne, please help me test. Do you get a good response for, say, nslookup cunywomeninstem.org
?
I'm getting:
*** Can't find cunywomeninstem.org: No answer

I get:
Server: www.asusnetwork.net
Address: 192.168.1.1
Name: cunywomeninstem.org
I was sent a zone record change notification from register.com about 2 days ago. I just noticed that a that a .org can take longer (they said as much as 72 hours). Something about "standard Internet propogation time". Hope that might be it...

I'm afraid the new records isn't available yet. I would ping the registrar to make sure that the CNAME was create correctly.

Cool, it resolves now:
system76:~ AP$ nslookup cunywomeninstem.org Server: 172.29.28.30 Address: 172.29.28.30#53 Non-authoritative answer: Name: cunywomeninstem.org Address: 146.96.128.200
...but the web request now goes into an infinite loop : (

Please login to your blog and verify that the domain mapping settings are correct and only set once. Thanks!
