Hi Ray --

I tried to update WP on nycdh.org but the update failed. Here is the error message I received:

Downloading update from https://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.8-new-bundled.zip…

Unpacking the update…

Verifying the unpacked files…

Preparing to install the latest version…

The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.: wp-includes/date.php

Installation Failed

Are you able to troubleshoot or should we contact Raghav for help with server permissions?

This sounds like the same problem we've been having with a bunch of GC sites.

I'll forward the pertinent email that contains the information that is needed.

I updated to WP 3.9.1 a few weeks back and didn't have an issue.
