closedSend Invites Error Messages
0%
Description
The form allows the user to click ‘Send Invites’ even without any email addresses, and the page simply reloads. When inaccurate email addresses are entered there is an error message, but it does not reiterate the parameters of needing a cuny.edu address.
Reloaded page could include a line of text in red: ‘Your invitations did not send, one or more fields are incomplete’ if no address are entered.
If inaccurate or ineligible emails are entered, the error message should include the line of text about proper domain names (only cuny.tv and cuny.edu).
Error message style should be consistent style.

There was a bug in the template used to display this page that meant that Invite Anyone's native error messages weren't fully displaying. I fixed the bug in https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/567fa9a0c1e735300c3e4cc93354053bf256307f. The attached screenshot shows what now happens when no email addresses are entered (again, this is the default behavior of the plugin). Is this acceptable, or do we want further modifications?

That error message works great for when no emails are entered. Thanks for uncovering it!
It would still be good to update the error message to include some language about the need for a cuny.edu email. Currently it's "samantha.raddatz@gmail.com is not a permitted email address. Please make sure that you have typed the domain name correctly." Something like, "samantha.raddatz@gmail.com is not a permitted email address. Only email addresses ending in cuny.tv or cuny.edu are permitted for use on this site."

Good idea. I've modified the text in https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/577c4a759477d4cefbd8b084184179074d9a1124. Ready to test on cdev.
