Events Calendar Emails not generating
I created a number of events in two groups: CUNY Academic Commons Team(about 4 events created) and CUNY Academic Subcommittee (about 10 events created). Creating events is supposed to automatically generate emails to alert the group members. My email setting is All Email, meaning I should get the alert right away, but no emails were received. Boone also did not receive any emails.

I spent some time looking at this. It turns out that events created in private groups, which have their "post_status" set automatically to 'private', were not creating activity items; as a result, email notifications were never being sent to group members. In https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/bp-event-organiser/commit/2e2847f5bfba5b21eab53e962cb85b35debe5328 and https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/bp-event-organiser/commit/d9aa084664de76997af7256d9a17fca62e8ad98f I made some modifications to bp-event-organiser so that it will create activity in a way that respects event privacy settings. This should resolve the problem.
