Description

In addition to the cuny.is problem, Joe has a question about search engines. He would like for people using "cuny.is/planningwithparents" as a search term to find his site. If I go to www.google.com or www.yahoo.com and enter "cuny.is/planningwithparents" I do not get "https://planningwithparents.commons.gc.cuny.edu/" as a result. I assume the indexing mechanism doesn't see "cuny.is/planningwithparents" - is that right? Is there any remedy?

Google's index works by looking at the text of websites. The cuny.is/planningwithparents URL doesn't really appear anywhere, so Google probably doesn't know about it. A good place to start may be to add the link to the site itself, maybe as a subtitle. Eventually, Google will index that text.
