Bug #10075
closedProblem with domain mapping/redirection for CETLS site
0%
Description
I am no longer able to access the CETLS website. The site is hosted at https://bmcccetls.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ and we use domain mapping so that it can be accessed at http://cetls.bmcc.cuny.edu. I now get an error message that says that the page is not redirecting properly: https://screencast.com/t/dydk79I0MjU. Please advise.

Yes, now it works. What's going on with the site?

We have an issue with our caching system at the moment - see #9974. We tried to turn it back on a few hours ago, but it looks like we are still running into issues.
For now, I have disabled caching so things might load a little slower than usual. However, bugs like these should no longer occur in the interim.

Gina, thanks for your patience. I've just put another potential fix for our bug into place. I've been monitoring the CETLS site for the last few minutes (since we know it's been a canary-in-the-coal-mine before) and things seem to be stable at the moment. I'll continue to watch as the day goes on. If you notice anything amiss, please don't hesitate to reach out, and thanks again for your help as we sort this out.

Thanks, Boone. The site seems to be working, but there are some issues with the domain mapping. For example, when I click on "All events" in the sidebar on the home page, the Commons URL, rather than the BMCC URL, appears in the address bar. If I access the same page from the menu, the BMCC URL appears correctly.

Hi Gina - Very sorry that this ticket got lost in the shuffle. The 'All Events' link was hardcoded in a text widget to point to the Commons subdomain, which is why it didn't change automatically. I've updated it. See screenshot.
I'm going to close this ticket, but please feel free to reopen if you continue to experience issues.
