I think this is a bug. I have a ticket on ZD from a student who noticed that when you create a forum post in a group, there is the option to set your post as Pending in the Topic Status dropdown. So he did that but then his "pending" post was nowhere to be found. So I went into my test group and replicated his problem.

I thought I would show you this by doing the same in the CAC Team group, but weirdly, the option to do that is not there - there's no Topic Status dropdown at all. See attached screenshots for the difference.

Is this something that's been retired? If so, can we disappear it from groups that have it? If not, how does it work?

Category name set to Group Forums
Target version set to 1.13.10

The functionality is available only if you're an administrator or moderator in the group.

I'm not 100% sure how this feature in bbPress is supposed to work. But if you can't see pending topics anywhere, then I definitely don't see a reason why you should be able to switch a topic to have the Pending status. Unless there are objections, I'll remove this dropdown.
