closedBridge Theme is broken
0%
Description
I am noticing that all sites using the Bridge theme (or Bridge theme child) are not working. I'm wondering if Bridge was updated and the "WP Bakery Page Builder" plugin was not?
I notice this message in the Dashboard:
"*Version 18.0 - This is a major Bridge update. In order for your version to work properly, please do the following:
Install and Activate Bridge Core Plugin*"
It seems like the parts of the sites that are broken are the parts that use the page builder.
Here is an example of a broken page - https://bcchalloffame.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ - no logo, shortcodes not rendering, etc.

Hi Boone -- please see https://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/11274
Updated by Boone Gorges over 5 years ago
- Status changed from New to Resolved
- Target version set to 1.14.10
I've updated the theme to the latest in https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/78d030f024ebfb0bb67fe85e57cca4b77e9ec0bc
In https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/088123c0096004db1ff6daa688b7d250a0d65b8b I added the bridge-core plugin, and in https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cac/commit/cdcff91a43238e468eb56f1b7a1ec6f299375c43 I made it available to sites using the 'bridge' theme.
I activated the plugin on https://bcchalloffame.commons.gc.cuny.edu/ and it appears to have fixed the problem.
I ran a query to see which sites are running the Bridge theme. There are about 46. This was too many to process manually, so I wrote a script that activates the bridge-core plugin across all of them. I've run the script and now the sites appear to be working.
I'll add a note to the release process documentation explaining that each update to the Bridge theme must also include plugin updates.
Scott, please reopen if you find additional issues.

Thanks Boone! I looked at 5 sites I know that are using Bridge and everything looks good. There are some background color changes (in the footer, for example), but that is expected I guess, with such a major release.
