Description
Hi All,
At 4:38pm today (ie., a few minutes ago), I received email notifications (all dated today) of posts that had been submitted long ago (one was for a course taught in the Spring 2010 semester). Boone and André, do you have any idea why this might have happened? Were either one of you doing work on the site today?

I suspect this may be because I solved http://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/1129 by re-adding the server to Exchange's trusted relay list. Maybe these messages were queued for this whole time and went out now. Were these sent to your GC address?
I'm grabbing the issue just in case.

Thanks, André. Just FYI, I'm sitting next to Michael Smith and Maura Smale in the CAT meeting. Michael received one email notification of an old post; Maura received 5; I received 5.

I assume these aren't Gc email addresses, heh?

I got about 10 such messages, at my Gmail address.

I figured this out. We were running email through sendmail for a while because of some issues I was having with postfix and when I fixed http://redmine.gc.cuny.edu/issues/1129 I resolved the postfix issue and switched back. There were some queued messages from a few months ago and those got processed when I restarted postfix.

Okay -- that makes sense, André. Thanks for the explanation. We didn't receive any complaints, so I'll assume that the damage was limited. Thanks again for your work on this.
