closedQuestion about group events

Description
I am using the Events Manager plugin on my site https://bmccopenpedagogy.commons.gc.cuny.edu/. The site is connected to a group. I have created two events using the plugin. I connected one of the events to the group when I initially created it and that event appears in the group's activity feed. The other event was originally created without a connection to the group. I later updated it with the group connection. That event does not appear in the group's activity feed. Neither event appears in the Events section of the group. This is the first time I've connected an event to a group, so I'm not sure what the expected behavior is.

This is expected behavior. Activity items are generated at the time of event creation. If an item is not linked to a group at that time, then the activity item is placed elsewhere. Theoretically, it'd be possible to trigger the creation of a new activity item when an unlinked event is later linked to a group; but this itself causes other problems, since, for example, it will result in email notifications being sent out in ways that some group administrators may not be able to predict. As a general rule, then, users should link events to groups at the time of creation if they want notifications to be sent in a predictable way.

Thanks, Boone. The second part of my question was about the Events section of the group. Should I expect to see linked events in the Events section? In this case, I do not see either of the two events I created and linked.

The Events Manager plugin does not interface with our group Events calendars. The latter are powered by the bp-event-organiser plugin, and those events can only be created/managed via the Group > Events interface.
If you want a way to show these group events on a site (instead of relying on Events Manager) you can use the "(BuddyPress) Group Events" widget.
